He did do a video with the other living Presidents (and celebrities and others) reciting parts of it which was fine. I don't have A BIG of a problem with him not attending, but at the same time I couldn't believe that he would miss an opportunity to showcase how far as a society we have come to have the first Black (and White... biracial) President. Other than African and Caribbean nations I can guarantee that there has been no other person of African descent been President of a Western and Asian countries. The historical value was important and it was weird that he didn't take advantage of that even if honoring Lincoln wasn't his primary motivation (which it should have been).
