He's the reason Michigan changed the law KQueen, it was legal when he did it. Hell, if I remember right the welfare people TOLD him to keep the benefits, a lump sum payment (didn't matter how much) wasn't considered "income". But I agree, she's been humiliated enough and jail time is a little much.
Oh I see... wow kind of harsh. I would say take the money from her or something like that but jail time is harsh.
There was a man who did the exact same thing and he never was arrested and he said it on camera too that he deserved it even though he was a millionaire. I am not sure why she was targeted for prison. It is actually a little weird. She should just be asked to pay back the benefits she received after winning.
I'll bet there are a hell of a lot of millionaires on welfare.
If you mean GM & the UAW, then yes.
Uhhh, but if they convict her and send her to state prison for a couple of years, she'll be back on the state dole again, won't she? How about just fining her for the amount of fraudulent benefits and a bit more for nuisance factor and calling it square? She sounds more ditzy than crooked to me.
I say leave her to have her EBT card. She will be back on welfare in about a decade, & so I say just save on any future paperwork & leave her on welfare.
I'm sure the leftards will be happy about locking her up, since she's now one of the "1%."
