Nowhere in history has a multicultural country ever survived. It won't in Europe nor will it work here.
I am not quite sure what you mean. The USA is the greatest example of people retaining their cultural backgrounds while at the same time coming together around the idea and practice of being an United Stater/American. It is when people NEVER embrace or when they outright reject the idea and practice of being an United Stater/American that is a problem.
Carpy is right KQ, no country divided by diversity has ever survived. America was created and became the richest most powerful nation the world has ever known because everyone who came here had one thing on their mind, to become an American.
Yes, we all come from different cultures and backgrounds but that is not the main thing we think about. We are Americans first and forever, our heritage will always come second and a lot of the problems we have now is far to many are coming to our country these days who do not think that way. We cannot survive as a diverse nation, only as a united one.

Exactly! We all celebrate our heritage in festivals such as San Gennaro for Italians, Oktoberfest for Germans, Cinco De Mayo for Mexicans, etc, etc, etc. The difference is that we do not place our heritage above our nation.
I love my diverse background, Spanish, Irish, English with a little Norwegian tossed in for good measure, I have an excuse to party almost every month!

What I think Carpy is getting at is that no country that allows their citizens to so immerse themselves in their own culture that they reject the culture of the country where they live, the country will collapse. Basically, what we're trying to get at is, if we allow our country to follow the leads of Germany and France, by allowing Muslims to overrun huge swaths of the country, turning it into another Islamic state, while ignoring the culture and laws of their host country, we will no longer be able to function as the USA. Forcing us to adopt Sharia law, and allowing these radicals to get away with the honor killings, raping of our people, etc, is multiculturalism in the extreme, and that cannot be allowed to happen.
The kids in public schools are already being indoctrinated into Islam by the brain dead assholes in the teacher's union. They think it's OK to force our kids to learn about Islam, but if you wear a cross to school, you are breaking the law! There even is the situation where in San Franfreako, they are accepting some of the most vile and disgusting sexual practices, even including children (NAMBLA). There seems to be no limits to what the left will allow as acceptable behavior, as long as it gets them votes.
All of the above are examples of liberal diversity. In other words, cultural relatavism.

The sad part is the Northern Hemisphere does need workers - especially Europe. Their self-imposed socialist Utopia is so expensive, people don't have enough children to replace the previous generation because they cannot afford them. They also abort a sizable number every year.

I don't. Diversity for the sake of it? Hell no. Out of common interest? Then yes. Problem is that social engineers force the issue, & create more problems then it's worth.
Diversity is part of our human makeup. If it wasn't, we wouldn't be diverse. If we weren't meant to be diverse we would all look alike, dress alike, speak alike, etc. We aren't. Diversity is part of our human experience. I don't believe that diversity should be used as a weapon against others, but embracing and accepting what is real is the best way to go. People that don't embrace diversity can't expect to grow nor operate in the world. Again once it is used as a weapon is a problem. I think I made that clear in my succint statement above.
The problem is, that in the minds of the left, diversity means everyone thinking and acting in lockstep. There is no diversity in that.
I am saying that people can and are diverse. That is part of our humanity. It is only when it is used a political tool or as a weapon that is a problem. I don't understand why ppl can't understand what I am saying.
