  Although it does seem to be that there are either two messages, or two parts of the single message. I'm guessing the military had outside help setting up this system and just accepted the default settings without really checking them -- DoD has acknowledged the problem and called it a mistake. Come on vets, tell us some stories about the massive FUBARS the High Command has made over the years! (Like parking all the P-40s together at one end of the runway and lining the battleships up in a nice long row . . . )

  • I worked in a federal position for a few years and this story is probably much ado about nothing. I surfed all over the place and occasionally got blocked. I was occasionally blocked from Drudge Report for instance. I would walk down to the geek squad and ask them WTF and they'd say something triggered the automatic blockage and sure as shit the site would be accessible again by the next day. I don't know exactly how the automatic systems work, but I'm guessing something as simple as the word "gay" in a headline is enough to trigger a blockage.
