You might file this under the heading of too little too late but it is at least an encouraging sign.
The Arizona Republican Party has censured John McCain for his liberal voting record.

The Arizona Republican Party formally censured Sen. John McCain on Saturday, citing a voting record they say is insufficiently conservative.
The resolution to censure McCain was approved by a voice-vote during a meeting of state committee members in Tempe, state party spokesman Tim Sifert said. It needed signatures from at least 20 percent of state committee members to reach the floor for debate.
Sifert said no further action was expected.
McCain spokesman Brian Rogers declined to comment on the censure. But former three-term Sen. Jon Kyl told The Arizona Republic (http://bit.ly/1mIyKyy ) that the move was "wacky."
Let’s start with the basics. McCain didn’t just go off the reservation in the last couple of years. A little over a decade ago, he was seriously thinking about switching to the Democrat Party.
The main stream media loves McCain as a “maverick” because he stabs conservatives and some fellow Republicans in the back with regularity.
McCain went after Ted Cruz because Cruz had the courage to demand that Republicans live up to what they tell voters they believe in.
In 2010, the Arizona GOP could have replaced McCain with J.D. Hayworth. But they did not because of an open primary system that allowed Democrats to cross over and vote in the Republican Primary.
If Republicans are serious about getting rid of liberals like John McCain, the best start is to go to closed conventions where Republicans, not Democrats, choose the Republican nominee.
As for the censure, John McCain does not care.
If the Senate ends up being split 50-50 after the 2014 election, look for McCain to follow the lead of jumping Jim Jeffords who left the GOP and caucused with the Democrats to give them a brief majority after George W. Bush was elected.
Until there's substantive shift in the GOP's policy of capitulations and engineered gestures of ineffectual resistance into real resistance to the agenda- most notably by vetting details of progressive legislation that by their refusal to communicate to their constituency they have helped to protect I see little choice beyond seeing this as political theater whose purpose is to placate conservative voters.
It seems that when people begin to wake up and become restless with the criminal agenda at work in Washington, the RINO slip into their easy on-easy off conservative costumes and either rebuke a designated member of engage in some form of charade like an ill-fated filibuster or countless votes for Obamacare repeal when those participating in them, who have persistently refused to actually inform the public of FACTS that would almost certainly be its undoing, cannot possibly be ignorant of their pointlessness.
Frankly I'm a little insulted by Arizona's pointless slap on the wrist... all it does is generate the headlined abetted illusion that there's actually some Conservative representation among the gaggle of puppets we seem intent on electing again and again.
You are correct. I have been following the protests in Ukraine closely, and they match where we are or where I believe we will soon be. One party in office totally corrupting all facets of gevernment, as the democrats are doing now. Three opposition parties in Ukraine, that for the most part complain but do nothing to stop the growing dictatorship and abuse of power. Sound familiar? Except we have only one "opposition" party.
Finally in November the Ukrainian people had had enough and took it upon themselves to protest and oppose the government directly. Opposition leaders there tried to mediate with the government on behalf of the protesters, and would come and tell the protesting populace results of the negotiations. Never any concrete reforms proposed, just talk. Finally in January, after another round of no results talks, the people chased away the opposition leaders. One tried to talk to them and had a fire extinguisher emptied on him. NO MORE TALKING, chanted the people.
We have the same here. The Obama-democrat government is totally corrupt. The opposition GOP do nothing but pay lip service to being opposed. With the elections coming they are trying again to talk tough and act conservative, but they never really join the fight. What is the GOPs big, big idea coming? Amnesty and immigration reform! Not strongly opposing unlawful actions by the Obama regieme, immigration reform. WTF? Until we chage out these worthless scum, democrats AND GOP jellyfish leadership, we will have no real freedom or real reform.
I didn't read the piece, but on the surface signs that "open-minded" democrats run the festival. To verify we can submit some pro 2nd amendment or pro Tea Party documentaries for inclusion. That would confirm the party ID.
That documentary, FrackNation, was on Youtube for a short time and I was lucky enough to come across it and watch it. It is an excellent documentary and it totally disproves the ridiculous assertions by the anti-fracking nutjobs. It also makes Josh Fox look like the lying fool he is.
I'm sitting up here in Minnesota, & the temp is gonna be below zero, again. Fracking is just 1 of several ways to help bring down the cost of energy. It's cold as hell out, & it shouldn't have to take a heating bill that is on par, cost wise, with your mortgage payment to figure it out. We don't build nuke plants anymore, we don't build refineries, we are shutting down coal plants, & fracking is under fire. The left in this country is at war with America's energy sector. It is cheap energy that played a huge part in making possible America's rise to the top of the world food chain in a short period of time, & in the name of "social justice", & "fairness", progressives are hell bent on downsizing America. It needs to stopped, & they need to be called out for what they are.
