This multi billion dollar company can't find ONE engineer that can figure out how to design an ignition switch, how in the world are they going to get one to design a braking system?
Fred Flintstone had it figured out, why can't GM?
Fred was a heavy equipment operator, so he had to have at least a little bit of smarts to survive.

I used to love Chevys, now it's Fords and Toyotas in my driveway.
The wife has a new Escape, I have an F-250, for little runaround trips I have a Rav-4, and for fun, in the garage is the Harley.

Just makes me want to go out and spend 50 grand on a new car with no brakes. Which leaves me with the question, has Government Motors built a car since 2008 that hasn't been recalled?

One of the reasons Ive been driving Japanese since 92. I'm on my third car of that timeframe, the current one being an 11 model. I might just try a German vehicle in 2021 for a change!
What pisses me off about auto manufacturers is how they can mess up something incredibly basic that they've gotten right for 100 years. This happens because they don't just leave an idea alone until it's actually time to IMPROVE it. They just change it every damned year, whether it needs changing or not, merely because they worship the concept of planned obsolescence.
If they made the same thing for 10-20 years, then the parts would be easy to get and - GOD FORBID! - inexpensive.
