The Islamic Center of Greater Kansas City has received $2,739,891 from the Department of Agriculture since 2010, a Daily Caller analysis has found. The money largely went to the mosque’s Crescent Clinic to provide services through the Women, Infant and Children nutrition program, known as WIC.

Isn't Islam about "protecting" women and making sure that women have male protectors and providers?
So... help me out here... I don't get it. Are Muslim men not doing what they are supposed to do? You know work hard and provide for their wife/wives and Mothers and widows? I keep hearing about all of these hardworking Muslims and how they aren't a problem and how once they have jobs they calm down with the jihad and are great assets to our societies... sup with that?

Islam per se does not even allow adoptions. It is IMPOSSIBLE to adopt a needy child born in a Muslim country. Momo stole his stepson's rightful property and his wife, indicating that as an orphan he had no legal protections and essentially could be treated as sh*t. With that history I am hard pressed to determine Islam in general as a charitable religion. Widows in many Islamic countries, if they have no male family members, essentially must prostitute themselves to live. My Mother told me of a story where a soldier bought an orphan girl a pair of shoes in Iraq, days later she was found dead, her shoes stolen, couldn't prove it, but a women of the village were suspected as they were seen giving her a hard time because she was an orphan and therefore could be treated as sh*t. Babies (usually girls) were routinely found in garbage pails. Supposedly one of the five pillars of Islam is zakat=charity... it is a bit strange ... read about it. "Islamic charity" does yield results online. However not one of them jumps at me whatsoever.

Why is a mosque getting WIC funds? WIC is a food stamp type program run by the states, vouchers are given to women with babies so they can get milk, formula, cereal and baby food. Something is very wrong with this picture, churches do not receive funding for WIC programs so why is a muslim mosque?
Their clinic receives the money. I suppose anyone with a medical.clinic forvwomen and kids could get the grants.
I'll still call bullshit, something is wrong here. None of the clinics in my state hand out WIC vouchers, the woman has to go to the welfare office just like she has to do to apply for food stamps. WIC is simply a supplemental nutrition program for pregnant woman and for those with kids under 3 years old.
It i s true, I have seen free standing clinics catering toWIC recipients.. Some also provide immunizations for the kids. But they still have to applyband qualify forvWIC, no mattervwhete they go for form, coupons, and other services.
Is anyone really surprised by all of this? One of these days we're going to take a page out of recent history and repeat what happened in Romania on 25 December 1989!
