  Now, that would depend on whether he met to tell them to straighten up their act, or to kiss their asses, wouldn't it?

  Of course, we spend far too much on the military. But how to cut back? By abandoning our wounded warriors, or maybe cutting waste? It makes a difference.

  • the second link is wrong, initially it showed my results, which were authoritarian/conservative...

    "On the right side are those who want a strong military that intervenes around the world." I disagree with the wording on this, it shows an extreme I don't recognize. I prefer we only militarily intervene when our own interests are at stake.

  • It didn't give me any revrlTions. I am a little to the right of middle on politics, pretty culturally conservative, and onthe graph thing I fell just above the horozontal line and just to the left of the verticle line. A moderate leaning to the conservative side.

• What a lousy spectrum when one end is Communist and the other Fascist. On the real spectrum they would be right next to each other.

• All that crap is fully expected to come from unthinking people. When your entire set of life principles is based on cliches, and you have not done one bit of reasoned thinking about it/them, that is the drivel you come up with.

  What I am most interested in is the second part on that test, specifically "How did you score compared with everyone who took the test?" and even more so, "Explain your answer".

  First, what the heck does a 16-year old know about political ideologies and their relevance to real life? Especially a pertinent question considering the pap they are being taught in school, as evidenced by the first part on that page. Talk about opening the door to a mind-boggling level of brainwashing!

  Second, when the student/mark fills in this questionaire, where does this information go? And why is there a bar-code on the test?

  • And how can a child be graded on where his opinions landedon the continuum? Whatever happened to free choice? Children are not being taught critical thinking, and how to learn. They are being taught what to learn.

    • sa_rose - the basic foundation of communism and fascism is that there is a more educated, more intelligent, more evolved really, elite that is (or should be) pre-destined to rule the benighted, under-evolved masses. Once you accept that viewpoint, indoctrination is the only thing "education" can, and really SHOULD, be.

      The commies knew that full well, and made no secret of it. They knew that there was still a substantial number in the population that were not thinking "properly" and were not evolving or not doing it fast enough. Remember, Marx considered communism to be the natural destination of the evolution of humankind. That justifies all the re-education, counter-revolutionary measures, abuse of psychiatry, and gulags - it is for the good of the human race.

      Lenin said that the establishment of true communism will take a lot of effort, and acknowledged that if it is necessary to kill 90% of the population, true communists should be prepared to do just that. Of course Stalin took that to another level, and included true communists in that 90%. Dang, didn't expect that, did you (meaning the true communists)?

  • Why?
    The mother was on FOX News yesterday morning, and the school admin has removed the worksheet.

• I said it just the other day, little Hitler Youth indoctrination centers. Public schools that I have seen are a waste of money.

  • Andthey wonder why taxpayers wantachoice about where their educationalfunding isspent. Was this an approved district wide exam? Orwas this one teacher trying to slip under the radar?

• The willingness to indoctrinate as that teacher did should disqualify one from holding a teaching job- regardless of where one stands on the political spectrum. That is not education it is blatant propagandizing.
