MSNBC anchor pretty bummed SCOTUS gay marriage rulings “gut power of federal government.” Bummed? That’s a liberal’s view. From where we sit, regardless what you think about gay marriage, the one good thing about this ruling for conservatives is that the gays are pretty much no longer beholden to the Federal Government, aka: Obama and Democrats. Perhaps they’ll start voting more conservatively now that this isn’t an issue anymore.

I wonder if this goofy broad was bummed out when Bill Clinton signed DOMA into law? I don't remember any whining from the left when the "first black President" backed traditional marriage with his pen.
This is just more proof that all of the various special interest organizations that make the democrat party are not about said special interest but about making the all powerful state.
Another point in case. Remember how all the feminist groups went after Billy Jeff Clenis for his raping and using a position of power to force sex on women?
No? Me neither. However, I do remember all the feminist groups turning on the women and blaming the victims.
It's all about the power and the useful idiots that an organization's name can get under their thumb.
Melissa Harris-Perry is a professional racist, & a Marxist. She is doing very well now, & she doesn't intend to participate in the BS she is promoting. She also doesn't understand our constitution either, but that's OK. It no longer matters.
She's mad because she knows that unless the Supreme Court grants it, there are going to be thirty plus states where same-sex marriage is not recognized. If one good has come from all the Pro-Life activism over the years, it is that the Supreme Court doesn't want to seem to make any more sweeping social decisions.
The conservative judges saw what Roe v Wade did to the country.
America is drowning with the roe v wade question
Power it shouldn't have. There is no mention of marriage anywhere in the Constitution. In a perfectly constitutional world, SCOTUS would not have ruled on DOMA. Scalia is right when he said the legislative branch should have dealt with it, which is pretty much what the Prop 8 decision did. Really inconsistent rulings. iMO.
What kills me is the sore losers that when they lose on a referendum in an election, have to sue to get their way, then when it still doesn't go their way, they will whine and cry about it.
