More than likely she'll have someone else sign her up, someone with the middle name of Hajiba, wearing a full face hijab and a red sequenced, C-4 laced vest.
We just had a local story about Doctors setting up cash only clinics rather than get involved with Obamacare. And its CHEAPER than Obama's screwup. Ome of my liveral friends posted on Facebook soething about "when Obamacare is workingwell." I noted that was assuming it would ever work well, and referred to people unable to get on the site, or contact anyone by phone. I asked it the operators were furlouighed, thus leading to the crash. He said it wasn't surprising that there would be "a few glitches" in such a large site. I am telling you, they REFUSE to see the truth in front of them!
OK folks, I called a local insurance guy today and gave him the info for my wife to get insurance. Here's the info.
For the bronze (cheapest) plan, her monthly premium will be $569.28 and her annual deductable would be $6250.00, so her total annual out of pocket expenses would be $13,081.36 BEFORE Obamacare pays anything.
What a great deal, huh?

WHAT????????????? She would have done better with Humana and they are way expensive/ Tell ME its going to lower costs. Anyone who understands even the basics of insurace will show how this won't work.
No Rose, she isn't eligible for Medicare yet, so the Humana plan isn't an option. This is Florida Blue Cross. It isn't going to lower costs, she pays cash for all her medical now, and doesn't come close to the premiums, never mind the deductable.
I was referring to regular Humana. Not a Medicare Advantage plan, all of which have few advantages.
I've heard those types of numbers all day. The other trick will be getting doctors to take the insurance. This was by design. People will rightly bitch about the deductible and the Dems, if still in power, will push single-payer. Given the mass stupidity of the public, many will cheer as we enslave the medical profession.
Pay the "tax" it's only $95 or 1% of income. Concierge medicine is the future.

BTW, by 2016, the fine is $695 or 2.5% of income, still more than $10,000 less than Obamacare.
I'm serious about the concierge medicine. Doctors will be happy to work with private pay patients who pay cash. They will reduce overhead and a black free market could very well thrive. Black free market. Only in Obama's America. No pun intended.
We already do that. Our chiropractor charges less than 1/2 price because we pay cash. My wife pays cash for all Dr visits and her female annuals. Doctors love it because they don't have to deal with the medical billing and coding, or the insurance companies.

I've always been of the opinion that there should be a "None of the Above" box available to check on all ballots, from dogcatcher to President. If NOTA wins, you have to clear the ballot and start over.

That was my first thought! I think they honestly thought that because Dear Leader said so, it would all go swimmingly.
I'm sure he did, probably had 10 or 20 people go on the site at one time to see if it would crash.
In his defense though, I'm betting about 1/2 of the users yesterday were identity thieves, trying to find out how to hack the files.
I'll bet a big part of the problem is that the contractor that was selected to do the software was not the lowest bidder, but as usual, the one that offered the largest kickbacks to the head bureaucrats and politicians.
However, since this is yet another Obuffoon cluster, I'm surprised he hasn't blamed Bush with his butt licking media wholeheartedly supporting that line.

Yes, it's called a testing environment and a sand box. Who ever was in charge of getting this all setup should be forced to testify in front of congress. Then forced to resign.
Then they should have put the site up as a beta test site. They spent $370 million for this website.
