the real mystery is why they do so well in the ratings. Lately MSNBC has been close to FNC in the cable.ratings. Maddow has even been ahead of Hanniity in the 25-54 demo.
MSNBC is counting the fact that it holds the armed forces hostage on AFN as ratings. Broadcast all over the world and a lot of military are required to keep TVs on the news channel.

I think you're right. When I go to the VA clinic for blood work or an appointment, the TV's in there are all tuned to CNN.

I loathe MSNBC but can appreciate how hard it is to stand against the left and battle them everyday. I like S.E. Cupp, although I don't always agree with her, she is a leading conservative albeit moderate on some issues and an atheist. She recently published an article chastising the conservatives that started the petitions for secession on whithouse.gov website. Here is the link to the article and my comment about it.

I don't wan to secede because I am pouting.
I want to secede because the north east and far left states deserve to found there socialist country founded in liberalism they so desire and to pay for it themselves. I have served in the military a decade and as a defense contractor a decade overseas and shed blood for the United States only to find the people flipping the bird to fallen HEROES at Arlington and for this I want to secede with the red states and form a country founded on conservatism and values.
MSNBC might as well change its nomer to MSDNC because it is purely leftist propaganda even at its furthest right leaning journalists and commentators. Purely Obama propaganda machine and leftist ideology and that is why the ratings are a constant 25% of what FOX News ratings are; another obvious indicator that the election was rigged.

And he probably believes it, too. Somewhere else i just read that in the week before the election, PMSNBC ran ZERO negative stories about Sock Puppet, and ZERO positive stories about Romney. Yup, that's what they think is "fair and balanced."
My liberal friend told me yesterday that she agrees with the fact that news is no longer fair and balanced. She even admitted MSNBC was VERY left oriented. But then when I brought up some stories she claimed never to have heard (like the precinct somewhere that has something like 500 registered voters, but 1500 voted or some similar scenario, she says she felt if there was real voter fraud like that she would have seen it in the news! I'm not sure exactly what HER definition of voter fraud is, but this comes mighty close in my mind.

I was having a "discussion" with my most liberal lunatic buddy on FB last night, and he insisted that FOX was extremely biased, and all the others were fair and balanced. Dummies can be fun to play with on occasion.
Oh yeah. she immediately said Fox is extremely right wing. She didn't say anything specific about CBS or ABC. But the concept that the media may not report things like the examples I gave for voter fraud is beyond her. Where do get this stuff? I told her both stories were in the news. She just shook her head and said "well if was really true, it would have been reported in the main media outlets and I would hae heard about it." Of course this is the woman who claims to have stopped watching the news 2months ago. . .
