  • This must be embarrassing for Joe Biden. He wants to confiscate guns and leave people with shotguns they can fire in the air. Somehow that's supposed to make us safer. Then some whack-job shows up at the Navy Yard and kills 12 people with a shotgun. Oops.

  • Piers Morgan and David Frum and other idiots were into crap before we knew everything. Talking about "assault weapons" and so on. I am not surprise that they are having a hard time letting it go. We cannot expect anything better from these people so why even try?

    • Earlier I posted about how my wife made me watch Sunday Morning and had to suffer through the self-absorption of a Rockefeller heir. Well, in that same program a story about Glock was shown. A reporter went out to a range with an expert and the idea was to show how easy it is to shoot. After "only a few minutes of instruction" the reporter hit his target several times. That was probably due to editing and lying. The funny part was the reporter never took his finger off the trigger. Not even when he was leaning n a table facing away from the range.

      The more these effete metrosexuals try to be masculine the more it always seems to have the opposite effect.

  • I watched news of the shootings mostly on Fox and turned over to CNN a bit. For the heck of it I turned over to MSNBC for a moment before 1 Eastern. They had Alex Wagner on her show going on and on about guns. The story was still very fluid. The number of shooters, the number killed, the number injured were not known. Schools were going into lockdown. She asked reporter Pete Williams a question about guns and he dismissed it very quickly by saying that maybe the White House political people could answer her question. Then he went to the still fluid story. Ideologues should be taken off the air for news reporters during such an event. MSNBC looked cold to human life in the name of scoring political points.

      They are taken off the air, if they're not following the party line. Otherwise, they are encouraged.

    • I had CNN on as long as I could stand it yesterday. They seemed very desperate to have a white guy involved.

      • Jon Stewart seems to agree with you. Don't really have an opinion of the guy one way or the other and never watch his show but this is pretty funny stuff. And he stole somebody here's line about abusive relationships;

        The lesson they take from this is, it doesn’t matter how much they betray our trust, we’ll keep coming back. We’re in an abusive relationship with CNN! And it’s time we kicked those bastards to the curb
