This isn't an honor killing. This is grade A crazy. She just happened to be muslim.
The point to mentioning honor killings is 1. to point out that violent behavior is not something way out of the ordinary in this culture, and 2. that this culture is obsessed with killing. More so specifically on the Arab side, killing is the solution to any and every disagreement involving other humans. I've even read quotes to that effect from prominent Saudi officials.
They do it in all sorts of ways, and for all sorts of alleged reasons. This one is just another incident among many of varying degrees of craziness. To write this off as an isolated whacko, such as we would do with Tim McVeigh, is really putting your head in the sand. Denial is not a river in Egypt. This is a culture rife with insanity.
If every last human on the planet became a muslim, they would be killing us and each other for praying on the wrong color rugs. It's simply what they do.

Google "honor killings". And then actually READ the stories.
I know that no Group is without its Nut-jobs. But the more I read, the more it seems that Islam is not only not without its share of violent, insane People, but I'm starting to suspect that they may actually have a smattering of sane People among them.
Basically, 99.99% of the Muslims fall into one of two categories:
1. an insane, violent part that thinks of nothing but killing people all day, 24/7/365.
2. people who don't say or do a damn thing against group #1.
When that is your population, it matters little how the percentages break down.
And BTW, the last .01% (or so) are the ones who were either sane enough to leave this planetary street gang that passes itself off as a religion, or have spoken out against the violence. In either case, they've had the usual fatwa issued on them, because that is what this "religion" does - it's in the Koran - kill anyone who is not one of you.
