They're there for 2 reasons, NBC needs a tax write off, and they're afraid a conservative might buy them.
Irony at it's best would be the Koch Brothers owning it... :)
Nah, all's the article shows is that at one time the idea that a "counterbalance" to Fox was a believable concept, and long-term contracts were signed. Contracts have an ugly way of running out; when they do, the people that paid too much will be out for blood. That particular chicken will come home to roost, especially if PMSNBC can't get their act together and get views.
Cash for Flunkers...
Anyone think that this would happen in reverse for FOX News?
So Comcast pays it's own ugly child to insult and belittle citizens of this country? Interesting concept, must be another of those liberal fairness things we hear so much about.
So if I were to take this to its logical conclusion, If I had a child that started arson fires I would reward him by increasing his allowance and looking the other way over the damage he caused? For once I am glad liberals have abortions, we don't need any more stupid people in this country, it appears we are full up.

Comcast doesn't pay them, the subscribers that are forced into a monopoly pay for it.
I thought subscribers pay comcast, and comcast sends them money, otherwise how would it work?
We need a comprehensive entertainment reform law.
1. No movie ticket more than $3.
2. Cable subscription should be under $20/month.
3. No Hollywood illiterati (producers, directors, actors,...) can make more than $50,000/movie.
4. All music downloads are no more than $0.25.
5. All DVDs less than $2.
The Fairness in Entertainment Act. Its time has come.
And let me just pay for the 5 cable channels I actually watch.
Of course no one watches MSLSD, for the same reason as why no one reads books by Robert Reichhhhh, or the Hildebeast, or listened to Air America, or whatever that libbie radio channel was.
It's the basic difference between us and them. The common characteristic of our side is a functioning mind. The evidence of this are the vast differences in opinions among - stating it in a very abridged, simplistic way - libertarians, conservatives, the "religious right", tea partyers, etc.
You don't see that on the left. EVERYONE agrees on everything. So no analysis is necessary. So if you're all set, what's the point of listening, watching, or reading anything? You already have all the answers!
