Nannyism epidemic crosses the Hudson River. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed into law today a bill banning conversion therapy for gay teenagers who want to be straight. Big Nanny (Bloomberg will henceforth be known as Little Nanny) said during the signing ceremony that people are born gay and homosexuality is not a sin… apparently Barack Obama whispered that info into his ear.

In other words, Christians have hereby been outlawed in New Jersey.
With everything on the side of the counseling being perfectly fine, that is to say no one is being forced, people walk into their business willingly and walk out willingly. No one is abused, there are no weird treatments and so on... I don't see the problem here.
If a child, a teen his or her parents will like for him or her to at least try and see if this is an issue that they can overcome through valuable therapy I dont see the problem here. You can be born with any type of gene from a physical to a mental issue but if you don't want it in your life why be forced to keep it? To some people there is nothing wrong in being gay okay fine but what about those that do think that way and want a chance at a life that is not a gay life? It is not fair to them. This is disgusting and yet another reason why Christie wouldn't get my vote.
Hey if Krispy Creme Christy wants to ban things because they don't work he can start by reducing the size of his state's government by about 90 percent.
And he can lay off his dietician while he's at it!
Actually, from what I have seen and read about those "conversion therapy" places, they need to be outlawed. I amnot sure about being born gay, but those places make Dachau sound like a Sunday picnic. If someone wantstherapy, there are real professional for treament. No torture chambers needed. And since when does Governor Christie have the lowdown on God's thought processes?
You're reading the disinformation the gays want you to read. In New Jersey while they were passing this legislation they actually had a gay man tell some of those awful tales and later admit none of it was true. The place he claimed tortured him in Ohio never existed except in a Rue Paul movie and he was never in Ohio. I hve heard enough from several sources to believe they are devastating and generally don't work anyway.
"Generally don't work" is a very subjective qualification. What success rate is so low that it justifies the government outlawing counseling?
Fact: life as a homosexual is "generally" short, miserable, and unsatisfying. They tend to die younger and less happy. If counseling can cure one in a thousand, why would anybody think the government has the right to take away that chance?

Personally I don't care what someone wants to do with their genitals. But if they'd like therapy, there's no reason it shouldn't be allowed.
Exactly. Just imagine some poor teenager who last week saw his counselor to talk about this, and next week he won't be allowed to talk to that same counselor. This isn't merely an example of tyrannical government, it's evil.
