NBA joins campaign to end gun violence #boycottNBA. Yup, they’re joining the liberal gun control freaks. We just opted out of watching them until they stop this shit. We don’t care how good the Warriors are.

CO2Insanity: Tired of the CO2 BS and all the other BS in the US and the world.

  • these overpaid crybabies should be giving about 90 percent of their money to help Ghetto kids...Or adopt a bunch of them and let them live in the players mansions....otherwise they are just a bunch of overpaid crybaby hypocrites...

      • Look at where they come from. Then they're pampered, told they're special, given all sorts of privileges. They're still thugs.

  • Maybe they should try to be role models for their fellow hood rats, I'm thinking that might work better then blaming legal gun owners for their fellow gang bangers actions.

    • 1 of the things ESPN does well, & that is not annoying overkill, is the "30 for 30" series. Today they showed 1 I had seen before, about Ben Wilson. He was 1 of the best high school basketball players that Chicago has ever produced, & he was gunned down outside of his school in 1984. This kid had unlimited potential, & should have made many millions of dollars, & was shot dead for really no reason.

It is an interesting documentary, & if you watch it, axe yourself what has really changed in Chicago since Wilson was murdered. You will see everyone's favorite Rev, Jesse Jackson. You will see that after his murder, Wilson's mother campaigned for gun control legislation, & despite all of that, 30 plus years later, it's worse now then it was then. It is a sad & tragic human interest story that is all too predictable because time has shown that what needed to change has not, & that is the urban culture of gang activity & the lack of will power in the Chicago Dems political machine to really work to change what needs to be addressed.

  • Useful idiots and fools. Once they've been used, they will be on the scrap heap. Sort of like their playing days. As for the NBA as a whole. I could care less about any of it.

  • Well, well. Looks like I'm a leader in the movement!
I started boycotting basketball in the 1970's, I find it boring.

    • In the seventies, I was still in high school, and detested all ball games even then. But if they MADE us play basketball, we turned it into tackle basketball just to make it at least a little interesting.

  • I gave up on the NBA & most basketball in general when it became "dunk & taunt". For me, it started with Chris Weber & the "Fab 5" of the old Univ. of Michigan.

    • I agree. About five years ago it suddenly dawned on me (don't know why it took that long) that the NBA is a long, long way from Larry Bird and the Celtics/Magic Johnson and the Lakers TEAM play era. I couldn't care less about any team in the league.

      • I guess I care about the Timberwolves, to the extent that it is my local team, & when they do well, & draw well, people spend money in downtown Minneapolis. There are some really nice pubs where you can get a drink & a bite to eat. But the NBA as a league holds very little interest to me now. Some college ball, but not much anymore.

  • It is not gun violence, PERIOD.

What is it? Black males aged 14-50 violence. Can't solve a problem until you properly define the problem.
