The reporter supposedly in Sochi was actually in Moscow, and he had to download a hostile Android app and disable his phone’s security to get hacked. NBC should change their logo from a turkey to Pinocchio.
It isn't a turkey now. Its a peacock. Which fits as well as anything else. Their regular programing sucks for the most part. Who decides what makes it on-air? THey fire the only person with #1 ratings, they play old SNL clips whenever they feel the need, and they only have a couple of decent shows on. Much different that the NBCof even a decade ago.
Just as fitting. Peacocks are dumber than turkeys. I had to climb a pine tree in South Carolina when I was 14 to get one of my cousin's pet peacocks out of the tree because it was too dumb to fly back down.

Yes they are. But you must remember, NBC does not have a hard news division anymore. They are driven purely by their progressive ideology & by stories that promote the corporatist desires of GE (who still has a large stake in NBC-U) & now Comcast. Always remember, as far as MSNBC goes, they do call themselves "The Place for politics", & that has completely contaminated the entire NBC News division. Also, during Olympic coverage, that progressive cancer infects the sports division, & sadly, it's their main guy who should be dumped out. Bob Costas needs to find other projects within NBC-U. His time has come & gone. He is a put off, & makes me wish I lived closer to the Canadian border so I could watch CBC's coverage. Their top guy, Ron McClean, is better then on his worst day then Costas on his best.
It is wonderful to see that nbc is able to make shit up half way around the world. Then they have to deny the story and apologize for LYING THEIR ASSES off yet again.

That's consistent with the way they write about Obama and Democrat politicians. When Bush made an error, it was "Bush f-cked UP!" When Obama makes the same mistake, it's "Ups were f-cked."
Well, it wouldn't be the first time they twisted/fabricated something over at NBC, and in their case, it won't be the last.
Phones are probably much more vulnerable to hacks in the USA than Russia. Our government is technically superior and has taken extraordinary liberties with service providers to spy on its own people. This is done without your phones defenses being disabled or by you accidentally, although in this case intentionally allowing some malware to wreak havoc on your phone.
