The New York Times hasn't filed for Chapter 11 yet? That would be about the only intelligent headline coming that building full of plagiarizing idiots.
NYT - Too stoopid to fail.
I doubt the Times had the brains to recognize the underwear connection between the two religions. They probably just thought it was a funny joke typical of the 8 year-olds who write for them.
If Romney had a conservative gut and instinct he would say: "Do you see how contemptuous these elites are of religion and faith?" He might get some cred with people of faith who are resisting him with a well thought out line or two. He could morph the line or two into a discussion of threats to religious liberty. I suspect his advisers will nix the idea and tell him to stay away from discussions of his Mormonism.
Well. . . Mormon is not exactly Christian, but the principle applies. I don't go for any of the crap the Mormons hand out. But they have a REASON for that "magic underwear" and its really no one's business what they wear under their clothes. THis is really low.
Christians can be the punching bags since we don't go ape crazy and kill people. If this was a about Mohammed magic underwear the NYT will be on bomb watch right now.
