NY Times staffers express ‘profound dismay’ with management. Seems staffers are upset that management “negotiators have demanded a freeze of our pension plan and an end to our independent health insurance” while outgoing CEO Janet Robinson exits with “a very generous severance and retirement package, including full pension benefits.” That sound you hear is our irony meter exploding.

What's really sad is that without the backing of Carlos Slim Helu, who is the 1 of the richest, if not the richest person in the world, the NYTimes would be close to being defunct. They deserve what they get, & if Robionson can walk away with a $15million payment to go away after running the NYTimes from a stock price of $35 a share when she started down to $8 when she left, God bless her.
I hope to see the end of the NYTimes in my lifetime.

From a chosen career standpoint, these people are as obsolete as buggy whip makers. Mainstream print news is dying and there is nothing the NYT employees can do about it. They can join all of the other technologically displaced workers in the unemployment line and wonder how it all went so bad so quickly.
The answer is simple, the Slimes refused to print a balanced perspective on the news. Going hard left bought them fewer subscribers, fewer advertisers, and the disdain of a majority of Americans.
Agreed. My point is that all of the big city dailies seem to be having revenue and readership problems. Left or right, they all screwed up by giving content away on the Internet and it is too late for many of them to charge a subscription on line since it is easy to get news from other sources.
The Times' op ed section and biased hard news articles were just particularly disgusting aspects of old journalism to a lot of news consumers and it sure did bite them in the ass online or not.
They have listened to their fellow left minded elites and never once asked why the boat is sinking. Like all liberal ideologies, it will fail. A victim of its own leftist crap.
