NextView to acquire Lithium X Energy Corp.

NextView to acquire Lithium X Energy Corp. It appears China may be buying up our lithium via Canada so they can sell it back to us. Shades of Uranium One.

Lithium X Energy Corp. is a lithium exploration and development company with a goal of becoming a low-cost supplier for the burgeoning lithium battery industry. The Company holds two projects in in the prolific “Lithium Triangle” in mining friendly Salta province, Argentina as well as participating in the Clayton Valley in Nevada through its ownership interest in Pure Energy Metals Limited (“Pure Energy”).

In Nevada, the Company consolidated its Clayton Valley holdings with those held by Pure Energy, in the process becoming Pure Energy’s largest shareholder, holding approximately 19% of Pure Energy’s outstanding common shares.

  • China sees electric vehicles as the next big thing, and if they can corner the Lithium market, they'll be able to bleed everyone dry.
They have to do something, since their attempt to corner the fossil fuel market is blowing up on them.

    • I say let them corner the damn lithium market. It will soon be a legacy market anyway. Batteries are not the future, which is one reason I don't have much respect for Elon Musk. I do not understand why people cannot see that batteries and their innate flaws will never be anything but a temporary solution that will be solved by something else much better. I am mystified because that "something else much better" is already here, not something from science fiction. Carbon nanotube capacitors can store energy just like a battery only they don't need some complicated chemical reaction involving dangerously flammable chemicals to give you the power when you need it or when you store it. You recharge much faster and you can draw it almost as fast as you need it and they last much longer than any damn battery. If you look around closely, there are already gadgets around you using carbon nanotube capacitors. Mostly smaller things like watches & stuff. There are even companies making smaller "batteries" for cars. (They shouldn't call them batteries but they do.) There are still some engineering problems, like energy density and long-term storage, but here's what I've learned in my long life: whenever a new technology reaches the stage where further development is merely about engineering issues, it's only a matter of time--once that technology is widespread and the various and sundry engineers of the world get their paws on it, they will eventually solve whatever engineering issues it might have. If we are already powering small vehicles with capacitors, (which we are), I expect by 2025, 2030 at the very latest, we will see the big auto manufacturers like GM, Mercedes, etc., offering electric vehicles powered by carbon nanotube capacitors rather than batteries.

And when that happens, the price of lithium will plummet.

      • Plus, capacitors are much lighter than similar sized batteries, they don't deteriorate like lithium batteries, and have a much longer useful life.
Lithium batteries have an average recharge life of about 500 charges, and then they're done. Capacitors also don't heat up when charging.
I'm basing this comment on my experience with electrolytic capacitors used in motor technology for starting and running electric motors, but I don't see much of a functional difference in other applications.

        • Right. And you know what happens when a car powered by nanotube capacitors catches on fire? You get harmless carbon dioxide and firemen can put the fire out with water. The batteries in electric cars now, create dangerous fumes when they burn and they cannot be put out for days. Many people don't realize those electric cars that burn have to be hauled away where the fire department can watch them and put them out over and over every time they start burning again. That's why when an electric car starts burning in an attached garage, which many of them do because that's where the owners plug them in, they generally end up burning down the entire house unless the fire department can latch a chain on the damn thing and drag the burning car out of the garage before the whole house is gone.

          • OH NO!! THEY PUT OUT CO2?
THAT MEANS THEY CREATE GLOBULL WARMING!!
THEY MUST BE OUTLAWED NOW IN FAVOR OF THE GREEN LITHIUM BATTERIES!!!
            ;-)

  • Looks as if the 10% for the big guy just got a lot bigger. It will help with the adult diapers and dementia care
