Nicke Gillespie owns Maddow and Maher

Nicke Gillespie owns Maddow and Maher (redeems them after the show for a cup of coffee whereupon he receives 35 cents back in change) : When confronted with REASON Maddow reacts with a shrill ‘I’m louder than you so I must be right” defense highlighted by obfuscation and an inability to process more than one side of what can only charitably be described as a debate. In other words, it was just like any other two minutes in her life.

  • Maher is totally screwed on this one. He said, "republicans 20 years ago" those were all Newt's boys when he was speaker. Maher liked those republicans, well so did I, they impeached Clinton and balanced the budget four years in a row.

  • I have seen Gillespie on Red Eye more then a few times, & he knows his sh!t. He's smarter then Madcow by miles, but does'nt act like it. He's a very sharp guy, & he ate her lunch.

  • Isn't Maher's condescension funny? He's so arrogant and such a know-it-all, that he doesn't even know it when someone's eating his lunch. Gillespie always comes off as a nice guy when I've seen him on "Red Eye". Connected with "Reason", he does comes across as libertarian and at times even conservative. He's an apatheist, a practical atheist, but one I like, like S.E. Cupp. He's definitely an intellectual, and so Madow and Maher are way out of their league, though that appears lost on Maher.

  • Looks like Madcow is going to have to go back to doing something it's good at, now if I could just figure out what that is.

  • I am still waiting for live-action "celebrity death match" at which time, I demand a battle royale with maher, matthews, madcow, schultz, sharpton, and lawrence odonnell. Each gets a razor sharp spanner, a chain saw, a K-Bar, and a taser. all enter-only one leaves-then the one that leaves is the only fuckstick libtard with an opinion show any longer, as only so many americans watch all of them combined-there's only need for 1 of them at most.....or, we could throw the winner in a pool of sharks that havent eaten in a week. WHichever.

  • "... but Republicans have changed ..."

    says Mr Maher.

I might have believed him (sarcasm) had I not read this

    just about a week ago.

There's nothing you can really say, Bill. We know what goes on in that vacuous head of yours better than you do.

And it's not 20 years ago, Bill, that Republicans were reasonable. 20 years ago George Bush 41 (never mind that he really WAS a "reasonable Rep., that is beside the point), was being skewered for "the worst economy in 50 years".

It was 50 years ago that you had "reasonable Republicans, BIll. That would have been Nelson Rockefeller, Jacob Javits, and Clifford Case, just to name a few local ones (I'm in NJ).

Speaking of NJ, maybe he's talking about Christie "witless" Whitman? That would be about 20 years ago.

    • According to Maher, Woodrow Wilson was the last "reasonable Republican".
Madcow goes for one more recent, but Mao wasn't an American.

  • PWN3D!

Parenthetically, I don't recognize the smiling-yet-silent piece of furniture sitting between Gillespie and the guy with the dark-rimmed glasses. Anyone know who that is?

      • Wow, here I thought it was the same guy I saw sitting in the bar the other day, chair in the corner, tossing chunks on the floor. Guess not!

      • Okay, I know nothing about this man, but he was kinda creepy. He had that forced smile, hold-myself-real-still-and-hope-no-one-realizes-I'm-here thing going on big time!

        • Okay, I know nothing about this man, but he was kinda creepy.

For someone that knows nothing about him, you sure pegged Maher (or were you talking about Madcow?) pretty well. ;-)

          • I'm afraid I've known for some time who Maher is. Now that man positively makes my skin crawl! He even *looks* like a snake!

I didn't actually know who Rachel Maddow was until the Scott Brown election awhile back. And then it was, "Good grief. Where on Earth did they find this woman? Is her family aware someone busted her out of whatever institution they'd committed her to?"

        • well he was in the middle of some cross fire...

He is also the owner/publisher of the New York Daily News if that means anything to anyone

  • If somehow you could get a cup of coffee for Maher and Maddow combined, it would actually be urine with brown food coloring in it and the cup would have a hole in the bottom. But you would still be getting the best of the trade.
