No good deed goes unpunished: Free government cell phone program mutating into cheap internet service. The FCC is strong-arming cable TV, phone and broadband companies into offering a new cheap internet service. The bad news, of course, is that you’re not eligible. Hide your wallet! It’s more Obamanomics!

  • I can stomach this better than free cell phones as kids in homes without Internet will be on welfare forever. At least this gives them a chance to develop computer skills which is far more productive than yapping on the phone.

  • Well, I guess my cable bill is going up to pay for this!
I guess all those empty computer workstations at the library are for people like us who will have to cancel our internet service because we can't afford to pay for everyone else!
BTW, what happened to the free wifi at McDonalds? Don't these people still eat there?

  • I've been wondering why my cable/internet service prices just went up 22%.
Well, at least I know that the funds being stolen from me are going to a good cause.

Now I know what the founders meant by "the General Welfare". I am to produce, so that the bread of my labor can be used to buy votes for the Oligarchy.

  • Give a Democrat a fish, he'll eat for a day.

Teach a Democrat to fish, and he'll call you an oppressive, bloodsucking One-Percenter, take your fishing pole, fish, bait, bucket, fishing license, and everything else in your wallet and redistribute it to "The Poor" in the name of Social Justice, then kick you in the nads and call you a paid tool of Big Fishing when you object.
