Not science fiction: Miami wants to predict when and where crime will occur

• I have no idea why they spent so much money on this: all's they have to do is go to the usual area and round up the usual suspects.

  ...actually, I know *exactly* why they are doing this. If a computer says it, it can't be accused of being raaaaaacist. It's a fig leaf over the libs' having painted themselves into a corner what with all their racial profiling complaints.

  • I live in a very small, rural, county with the only real town being the county seat. I know all the local law dogs, talk to them often, and have heard the same thing over and over. They keep an eye on, and often arrest the usual clowns again and again. usually for the same dumb crap they have been arrested for before.

    I can't see things being any different in the bigger cities, just more clowns to watch is all.

• Every time something like this happens I find out about the existence of yet another government agency. When did they form the Bureau of Justice Assistance?

• Hahaha...what a joke. Law enforcement is reactive instead of proactive. Always has been, always will be, and no amount of wasted taxpayer dollars will change the fact.

  If law enforcement ever gets to be proactive? Look out folks, Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, every despot known in history, ruled their countries by the same brutal fist. And that is not a road I want to see America go down.

• And when they got it down to a fine science, they can predict the lotto, the presidential races and the winner of the triple crown. Hey it is Miami, from what I hear crime is everywhere and happens a lot..there no need to predict it.

• I predict many acts of theft will occur in the vicinity of Capitol Hill whenever Congress is in session.
