One of my liberal online buddies has assured me that there are no such things as public housing projects any more. They just don't exist, and we're not paying for them. Welfare has been completely reformed, and nobody can get any form of assistance for more than two years. Somehow, I'm not inclined to believe him.

Actually, I think much of what Barney Frank & Chris Dodd tried doing with the CRA involving Freddie & Fannie was to put people into housing without building public housing. Because nobody wants public housing in their area, they just tried putting folks who should have been in public housing, into homes they could'nt afford. It looked like an end around to me.
