NYC’s Nanny Bloomberg sets his sights on booze. City Health Dept. proposes to slash the number of establishments that sell liquor as well as controlling liquor advertising. How long until this dope starts showing up on people’s doorsteps in a wig and a dress to admonish them to eat their vegetables?

It almost sounds like prohibition is rearing its head in NYC. The Kennedy’s must need more money to support their non working life style.
Fewer licenses make the licenses more valuable. It's simple supply and demand, he supplies you a liquor license, then demands a big kick ba. . . err, campaign contribution. . . . capeesh?
Exactly. The license costs more, the kickbacks have to be made, the "costs" have to be recovered. Who pays? Many will be the same idiots that voted this dickwad into office. But, liberals never learn, no matter how often unintended consequences bite them in the ass.
More liberal social engineering. This proposal is aimed directly at poor and working class New Yorkers who need to be regulated for their own good. But it's supply and demand, if this new prohibition takes effect speak easys and liquor smugglers will have no trouble finding customers. Meanwhile the wealthy and middle class will have no trouble buying all the high-price liquor they desire.

it's not a difficult leap to make in thinking he got the idea from obama, probably they're considering a deal with china to pay back some debt, by "sponsoring" (paying for the whole trip as well as paying a consideration to china for use of this commodity) these entrepreneurs in NYC.
