Mmm, sage. That's the main seasoning in Bell's stuffing mix. How many will one sage (licks lips) grouse feed?
Yes another broken promise by Obama, he promised when he was running the first time that he would take care of the wild horses but they are being slaughtered and tortured in holding pens. He can't even keep a simple promise like that. It is a crime what he and Salazar have let happen to these beautiful animals. They had a prayer with Romney since Anne loves horses, with Michelle there is no chance unless she can eat them.
They are kicking the wild horses off the land and killing them yet they make room for these birds?
Unfortunately, horses in the New World are associated with the white man so they will never achieve the level of political correctness granted to sage grouse and Devil's Hole Pupfish and spotted owls. It's not the horses' fault, poor things. I'm sure if they had it to do over again they'd abandon the white man, learn to speak Lakota and Navaho, and hire Jesse Jackson to lobby for them in Washington.
They have to keep the French in Le Seabiscuit Burgers.
Completely fine by me.
Wait, we do get to go bird hunting on that land, right?
Nope, You might go to shoot at some food when up thru the ground comes a bubbling crude.
Bravo!
Can't do that the EPA won't allow it anymore.
Obama saw a movie and said: "Look at the Grouse! Look at the Grouse! Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!"
Hey, sage grouse is TASTY. Any chance I can hunt on that land?
Ummmm, okay, thought not.
Why bother? Just put up a barbed wire fence and wait for one to fly into it: "The chicken-size, ground-nesting birds are prone to flying into barbed-wire fences and are famed for their loud mating dances…"
They must be Obama voters.
Batcha a donut, that the land in quetion is right on top of a huge shale oil deposit that environmentalists don't want any oil company to ever extract.
I wonder what the 'jobs lost per grouse saved' figure is; probably right up there with the Delta smelt and the snail darter in the six figure range. On the Spotted Owl front, I read recently that the greatest threat to them is another, larger species of owl, which finds them delicious. A few more additions to the 'endangered' species list and the US economy will go extinct, much to the delight of the greenies.

Like they don't own enough in those states already.

Government control so there is no drilling.
