OIC. He wanted to wait until after the election. If he won he could reject it outright no longer afraid of loosing as he only has another four years to destroy the country further. If he lost then it would not be an issue. So... by being pressured to be PRESIDENTIAL and make a decision that could save many people's work lives, he decided to do what he was going to do anyway IF he won, but afraid of backlash points to the Republicans as tipping his hand too soon hoping the sheep will not remember that they have no jobs thanks to this fool once November comes along. So he is either an evil genius or he thinks we are very very stupid.

Maybe I'm crazy but does anyone else suspect that China influenced (read twisted his arm) Obama's decision to kill the pipeline? After all they get all of that refining business. Maybe an implied threat about future debt purchases.
I doubt it, I'm actually waiting for the Chi-Coms to cash out as the USA creditor, & demand colateral for borrowing money to the USA. Natural resources anyone? If they say they want our oil, they may get it since we are in so much debt to them. Add to that, the Regime wants to raise the debt ceiling...AGAIN, meaning more debt.
I am afraid of this. ONe of the reasons why I want to start learning Chinese again. This time it wont be for fun but for necessity.

Richard Trumpka, the leader of the AFL-CIO supported this decision citing climate change issues. Really? How does that square with his stated job description of championing labor rights and opportunities (I had to choke down that last part)? The rank and file are once again being screwed by the self proclaimed middle class warrior and his cronies.
If you are a union guy & your getting screwed because of this, why in the hell are you paying leaders like Richard Trumka? If this heart attack in a suit is supporting politicians who are standing in the way of American jobs(union & nonunion)& American security, he needs to be told what needs to happen. He needs to use his influence to tell Obama & his crap administrators to get out of the way & build the XL.
BTW, Trumka, if you or anyone you know sees this(fat chance I know, but you never know...)you are being punked by the green marxists. I know the unions have a rep for being tough guys, but they are pussies compaired to the environmentalists. They are winning, & that means America is losing.
If the playing field is level and the election, by and large, free of fraud, Obama's re-election is doomed. Rejecting Keystone XL will only strain the prospect of cheap energy worse and there is no way he's going to get back with gas north of $4.509/gallon.
Now, concerning the likelihood of widespread fraud, I would say his chances of re-selection are better than average.
