Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

McCain beat Obama 55.6% to 42.5% in West Virginia in 2008. I can't imagine that Obama wouldn't do even worse in 2012. Man, I really used to love to eat Boo Berry, Count Chocula, and Frankenberry cereals when I was a boy. I hear at least a couple of those cereals are still around but I can never find them. Has Michelle Obama had an embargo, blockade or sanctions placed against them?

  General Mills website still shows Boo, Count and Frankenberry as current products. Wikipedia says availability is a an issue decided by individual retailers (many stock them for Halloween) but they are all available year-round from Amazon!
