He's right-no one will look back and say "he wasn't a bad Captain of the ship." THey will look back and say " what the HELL were those people thinking when they put THIS moron in office. No one in history of any country or civilization can match him for arrogance, incompetency, and damage done to his own side!"

I actually think that history will prove that this is essentially the worst President in the history of the USA. He is deceiving himself if he thinks people will think he is all that.
He doesn't really care what the people think. His intention is to reduce the people to a peasantry and slaves. He looks down his nose at us all, pretending to be a great man, like Mussolini.
Oh I think he cares. He is an arrogant pest. He loves attention and he loves people to think highly of him. When people do not treat him like a king he gets irritated. Someone like Bush really one can say didn't give a whiff what people thought of him and he still doesn't care. Obama revels the attention of Men. He is pretensious and things he is better than us, but he does care. He wants to define his legacy now, because he is afraid that he will go down as the worst ever and he should be afraid of that.
I believe he expects the peons, serfs, and slaves will still adore him, their Dear Leader.
He thrives on adulation but he's feels just fine about hating people he will step on as soon as he gets chance.
All I can say is "The wheel is turning, but the hamster is dead"!!

Lets face it, He's not the captain of the ship, he is trying to control a ship while rowing his dingy around it because he doesn't realize just how big this thing is. He will never realize that his little dingy is gonna stop the ship. Or to quote another (real) and famous captain, Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.
Perhaps his little dinghy is loaded with many limpets that he judiciously applies to strategic points on the hull of the foundering ship in his continued and deliberate attacks to scuttle her. That's my take on it. He is doing exactly what he had planned all along. Hopefully, his one error might be that he'd be able to do it in one term.
Heehee, he's not commanding a ship, he's just playing with his dinghy!
