Obama hasn’t spoken to Colorado Gov for 15 days despite raging wildfires. Hey, remember when the media skewered Bush for not paying more attention to Katrina? Good times. Gee, don’t any rich celebrities have homes in Aspen or Telluride suitable for holding fundraisers?

Update: Obama is heading to Colorado tomorrow. I guess he has to now that those darned incorrigible media brought it up! But no worries - he can do some campaigning while he's there, and with luck - there will be a golf course around. At least Michelle won't yell at him this time when he smells like smoke....
He could play a round of golf on the soot. It would make a good photo op.
Sometimes n0bama gets confused between our 54 state Arizona, and our 56th state Colorado. Besides, he is on tour now bringing his Hope & Change to cities across America - he passes the hat and Hopes you deposit all of your spare Change, He's very busy.
He wont show up the towering flames and all the destruction remind him of where he is from and where he will spend all eternity.

Bush called BEFORE Katrina hit in order to give National Guard and other service if the Governor of New Orleans (and others) wanted it. The Governor of New Orleans declined don't know about the others. Bush flew over yes and assessed the damaged however got hate for doing that (why?). Bush later dispensed people and resources in order to help as quickly as it was humanly possible not only to New Orleans but other states. Granted FEMA and other governmental organizations failed miserably for a lot of people but a lot of the job got done and Bush cannot be made guilty for programs that in essence were faulty for decades. He did what he could and Katrina was "an act of G-d" and certainly it didn't display any bias or not caring about Black people like Stupid Kanye stated stupidly.
Now obviously no natural disaster is Obama's fault, but for him not to even care enough to CALL... not even offer resources and people, but at least call to ask the Governor if everything is ai'ight? Really? I care he is busy fundraising and giving peope free passes into the country to care...

This is the same modus operandi he employed while a gazillion gallons of oil spilled into the Gulf of Mexico for three months before doing anything in his power. Frankly, I wish he'd stay home and keep his political theater troupe out of this state.

You've touched on something a lot of people don't seem to understand.
From FEMA: "Under the Stafford Act, the President can designate an incident either as an emergency or a major disaster. Both authorize the Federal Government to provide essential assistance to meet immediate threats to life and property, as well as additional disaster relief assistance.
The President may, in certain circumstances, declare an emergency unilaterally, but may only declare a major disaster at the request of a Governor who certifies the State and affected local governments are overwhelmed.
A major disaster is defined as, 'Any natural catastrophe (including any hurricane, tornado, storm, high water, wind driven water, tidal wave, tsunami, earthquake, volcanic eruption, landslide, mudslide, snowstorm, or drought), or, regardless of cause, any fire, flood, or explosion,...'"
In other words, a hurricane is considered a "major disaster" and the president cannot make any declarations to authorize federal help until he gets the go-ahead request from the governor(s). People were so busy playing the Blame Bush! (TM Liberals) game that they weren't even aware they were revealing their ignorance about how our government works.
