Tax hikes for rich “[coincide] with Jesus’s teaching.” Umm, and maybe Krishna told him to revive dead auto companies, Allah guides his foreign policy and Buddha is the inspiration for his constant vacationing. Talk about your religious nuts. What happened to separation of church and state?

This is a long article that may merit its own article her on IHTM. I thought it was worthwile to read even to skim even if it is the first 4-5 paragraphs. I got to tell you, taxation = oppression. Even if some measure of taxation is necessary to keep infrastructure (and military) going, taxation as we know it is oppressive and is NOT what the Founders and Framers had in mind. This man and everyone like him (or close enough) are in a manner suffering. This government is even attacking banks in OTHER countries (basically attacking other countries' sovereignity) by penalizing them for making it easy or easier for US citizens to "hide" (rather keep what they have and more than likely already taxed funds) their money from the government. This is tyranny to the max degree. Jesus would not be okay with tyranny, not in any form. To use the name of Christ or to use his supposed Christianity to make a point that taxing people MORE is appropriate due to the Faith is disgusting and untrue. It is true of Islam though as Islam does state that if a person is not killed for being an infidel you can keep them around and tax them for being infidels. The taxation is then oppressive. Obama disgusts me. The Lord YWH even spoke about the destruction of those who taxed and oppressed people unmercifully. Obama and his ilk better watch out.

The funny thing that considering that King Jesus Christ who is the Son of Almighty G-d that owns everything and has no need of anyone nor anything is the Ultimate "1%er". Lord Jesus owns everything and has all Power. To assume that He NEEDS OR REQUIRES our money (or the Blessings He provides us) for Himself is presumptuous. To assume that He wants us to give our Blessings to the government as if the government is the core or a representation of His power on Earth is truly ignorant or else evil thinking. He doesn't need our money, He is looking out for the folks that need help and assistance to make their burden a little lighter. That is not done through government. Every good thing is from the Lord and we are here to help one another. However, we are not "our brother's keeper" as Obama contends. He even messed that up. Obama is disgusting and everyone like him.

Yep sir. Government/IRS are NOT charitable foundations. The govt and the IRS cannot provide all services to all the people that truly need it. Also when (not if) corruption and abuse happens there is no one higher that can change it or prosecute it as the govt has proven that it is not able to police itself (well unless the abuser or corrupt person is a conservative or wears the conservative mantle).
Charity is much more than monetary giving. It is truly love in the Agape sense. Not romantic, but the love and care of your fellow humans. When you pray for others, that is charity, as much as a donation. But the reality is that sometimes the charity needs to be material. Food, clothing, shelter, medical care. Offered without expectation of return or to advance one's own standing. That clearly is NOT the way the government does it, and certainly not the way of most Democrats (the Ted Kennedy Center; The MLK Memorial etc.)
