I used to walk out of my house and be on federal land in about five minutes. I'm a walker, so I cover serious ground. There was one particular area that was conveniently reached by vehicles, and gun owners would tend to park and shoot. Never bothered me in the least, and I'm not a gun person. People need to understand that federal lands tend to be VAST. There's pleny of room for shooting without ruining some liberal city-dweller's feng shui.
