Of course he did. How would it look to have the cardinal give the benediction right after having the political operative fluke give her speech. What message would that leave to all the dim wits who are lining up to drink the kool aid?

If Romney were to reject a pro-choice pastor/priest's benediction, it'd be the lead story on all the nightly news casts, and they would be castigating him for being racist and for wanting to force women to do nothing but bear children. Like last night when everybody was screaming "controversy" over Romney's birth certificate comment. Obama can do anything or say anything that is intolerant of Christians, Jews, Conservatives, heterosexuals, and get a pass every stinkin' time!
Any Catholic who votes for 0bama ought to be excommunicated.
I think it's time for Cardinal Dolan and other Catholic leaders to drop the we don't want to seem "partisan" stuff. The Obama Administration is attempting to coerce Church institutions to perform operations and provide drugs against the Church's teaching. This is the beginning of persecution. I'm not saying they should formally endorse Republicans, but Dolan shouldn't even have offered himself to that brood of vipers who will meet in Charlotte and who seem like they are going to push "Choice" hard. The late Catholic author William Marra used to say of the efforts of Church leaders to be neutral:"Tax exempt status, be damned!"
I would imagine the convention will start with a call to prayer and a lot of wailing from a tower somewhere, then a America is the great Satan and all the non-Muslims must die, and possibly a "God Damn America or two from Reverend Wright, and some wailing from Jackson and Sharpton....

I'm sure the Donks will have an invocation at their convention. It'll be delivered by a diverse group of clerics---a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Sikh, a Buddhist and a Wiccan---all praising The One (in this instance The One is Obama, not Jehovah) . Their only problem will be in finding enough pro-abortion clergymen.
