This only affects new LEGAL gun PURCHASES.
It does nothing for street purchases, or thefts.
It also doesn't get the guns from the people that have them already.
If they just refuse to comply, there is nothing the goobermint can do, especially about guns purchased before registrations.

Exactly. He's trying to make himself look tough, but he knows there's nothing he can do to stop gun violence, because the majority of the incidents are perpetrated by criminals that don't give a popcorn fart about the law. All he will accomplish is to curb law abiding people from owning guns. Besides, how are they supposed to track the gun sales of people that sell less than 50 guns a year?
