Obama (tacitly) admits that Obamacare is unworkable. “This president’s announcement today that the White House will allow health insurance companies to continue selling plans that do not meet the ACA’s minimum criteria… [is] an admission not only that the law doesn’t work, but that it can’t and won’t.” Every flood starts with a few drops of rain, Quagmire.

  • Democrat 2014 campaign slogan: “Now That We Totally Fucked Up Your Health Insurance, Give Us a Chance to Fuck Up Everything Else, Too."

  • So now Quagmire want to seem like he's a concerned and caring benevolent dictator? It sure didn't seem that way 3 weeks ago, he was a smug and arrogant liar.

  • This is a very "con"niving plan that has carefully been orchestrated. When good 'ol Bill started humming what Obama should do, it became even clearer. The only reason that "tell all" security dude isn't getting snuffed out, is because of Clinton (other than it's a whole lot of nothing he has to say). The government would not be like that if a Clinton was running it... PLEASE, he is the Con-in-Chief, and welcome his wife Hilary in 2016. It's all part of the plan to sway peoples opinion. Literally kill the competition off once and for all... this is going to do nothing more than make Obamacare relevant. The insurance companies (.. and that really means, WE) will pay for it, and the good old boys will keep on partying on our dime. This is just laying out the foundation, that is all. Omafia is just a pawn and a tool. Surely he has caught onto that by now, if he even cares.

  • I got this in my email today:

"Putting things in perspective: March 21st 2010 to October 1 2013 is 3 years, 6 months, 10 days. December 7, 1941 to May 8, 1945 is 3 years, 5 months, 1 day. What this means is that in the time we were attacked at Pearl Harbor to the day Germany surrendered is not enough time for this progressive federal government to build a working webpage. Mobilization of millions, building tens of thousands of tanks, planes, jeeps, subs, cruisers, destroyers, torpedoes, millions upon millions of guns, bombs, ammo, etc. Turning the tide in North Africa, Invading Italy, D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Race to Berlin - all while we were also fighting the Japanese in the Pacific!! And in that amount of time - this administration can't build a working webpage."

  • Long and full of details, links and citations but worth it when read with your favorite beverage (or three)

"Whether it be private health insurance or not, the government controls it all because under Obamacare you are required to be in a ‘qualified’ plan and ‘qualified’ plans can only pay doctors who do exactly what the HHS Secretary’s regulations impose. Doctors will be penalized and unable to practice if they don’t adhere. When the regulations conflict with the Hippocratic Oath, the doctor must adhere to HHS regulations over the oath.

Section 1311 (h)(1). Beginning on January 1, 2015, a qualified health plan may contract with-(B) a health care provider only if such provider implements such mechanisms to improve health care quality as the Secretary may by regulation require."

That "Secretary may by regulation require" ought to scare you more than the thought of the current one nekkid.

  • Now will Pelosi and Reid read the fricking bill. No way, no how. It's a PoS and should've never been passed.

If the dumb ass republican leadership attempts to fix this cluster, you can bet your last pennies that quagmire will tie it right around their necks. Even McInsane now admits that the bill needs to be repealed. He and his lapdog Graham need to step forward into the well of the senate and deliver a full apology to Senators Cruz, Lee and Paul an apology for all if the name calling done by McInsane and Graham.

  • I don't think he can make the insurance companies do that. This is an actuarial business, with complicated calculations. You can't decide in the middle of November to order the reinstatement of policies that must be signed up for by December 15 (if you want coverage January 1). It's not feasible even if they wanted to do it. It's idiotic in the extreme.

    • No, His Majesty issued an executive order in January, 2009, that henceforth, DC was a 'Constitution-free' zone, so, just as he did when he moved the group mandate deadline to 2014, he is not required to do anything as common as getting permission from Congress.

      • I would love to see a true conservative get elected president in '16, and watch the horror wash over the libturds as he overturns every one of Obama's executive orders in one fell swoop!
The MSM would be absolutely apoplectic, and Pelosi and Reid would have simultaneous aneurisims!

  • I would think this will cause havoc within the insurance co's that have been jerked around for several years by this POS. (POS being Obamacare in this case, not the POS Obama himself) NOw they have to backtrack and undo. Gotta be expensive. Oh well, I understand a lot of insurance co's donated to the Commies. Even if they were simply covering their ass, serves em right.

More gold that the GOP will ignore. I saw this somewhere recently, "The Republicans never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity." My new favorite quote.

    • They don't HAVE to reinstate the cancelled policies. My bet is that they won't.. Too much water under the bridge.
