Obama: Top Tax Rate Should Be 28% for Corporations, 40% for Small Business: For all of President Corporatist’s talk of equality he clearly has no interest in promoting a free and equal market.

      • Why would you give him that? Corporations don't really pay taxes. Their customers do as they are built into pricing, which is a double tax situation for consumers when you think about it. Second, we have the highest corporate tax rate in the world. Where is the incentive for American companies that earn profits off shore to repatriate that money? There are trillions sitting in overseas banks and investments because it would be an immediate 35% confiscation if the corporations brought the money home.

High tax rates impact job creation because it is cheaper in many cases to build factories overseas and pay someone else's lower tax rate and cheaper labor costs (unions screwed up that market here too).

As always, government is the problem not the free enterprise system. Crowley is an ignorant turd, don't encourage him.

    • and newspapers. (Why do they call them "news"papers, since they rarely report news but rather democrat/socialist/progressive/liberal/communist propaganda)

    • Why bother with corporate, or small business taxes? We all know it's the end consumer that pays ALL taxes.

      • With all of the tax deals some companies get to set up shop wherever, some of that 10% would be wiped out. But I get your point, taxes are cost, & are passed on to the customer.

        • The company that produces a raw material pays corporate taxes.
The company that hauls the raw material pays corporate taxes
The company that makes the raw material into a finished product pays corporate taxes.
The company that hauls the finished product to the middleman pays corporate taxes.
          The middleman pays corporate taxes.
The company that hauls the product to the store pays corporate taxes.
          The retailer pays corporate taxes.
If you chase the corporate taxes out in every branch possible along the way, with every product that is used to build the retail building, the materials the roads were built with, the companies that built the trucks, trains, airplanes, the oil companies that fueled them, the farmers that fed everyone in the chain, ad infinitum,.....

Every single penny of all of that corporate tax is paid by the end consumer in the price of that product. And he's paying for it with after-tax dollars, and a sales tax on top of that.

All a corporate tax does is put some of the burden of collecting taxes from the end consumer onto the business. And make for more paper shuffling. Put the accountants to work doing something productive, instead of tracking every cent for the IRS.

          Thank you.

  • "Ends incentives to ship jobs overseas, and lowers rates for businesses that create jobs right here in America" Let me tell you what I know about this ! He is forcing companies to ship jobs overseas and cut incentives for jobs here! Pure DemoRat. Say what the people want and do the Opposite. I worked for a company for 25 years and 3 full Department were sent overseas to India. Now most jobs are $8-$9 a hour- part time. if you can get one. and they want you to have a master degree to push a broom or be an "illegal immigrant" to meet the new mandate. OH The American Dream? Not For us

  • Crony capitalism on full display. Kick money back to quagmire and you will be rewarded. Work very hard and try to make something for yourself, family and business, quagmire along with his henchmen will come after all that you have worked for. Just to reallocate it to those who bow down to he and them. Just like the Nazis, Bolsheviks, Mao and other dictators.

Hey UN, is it ok to compare quagmire to the above evil individuals through out history? Don't care what you think, I typed it, said it and am standing by those words and name calling.

  • Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. 97% of businesses are small businesses. Let that sink in for a moment. If he can't kill them with Obamacare, well, a 40% tax should do it.
This isn't even Econ 101 level thinking. It's more like community college Econ 98.

  • Tax the job providers so much they cannot afford to hire people? Yep, that sounds like an Obummer economic plan, look at how good all his other ideas are working. Riiiiight.
