Now that voters are really feeling pissed and betrayed, and not supporting RINO candidates for prez like the elites think they should, the GOP move to vote against this crap. They did nothing when they had budget power to defund and really stop this nonsense. Now a show vote to pass a bill that O will veto so the RINOs can once againg wheedle and while, "gosh, gee, we voted but we can't override a veto so, shucks, all we can do is just go along with the communists and ....". DISGUSTING.
Don't forget that this whole thing was designed to fail, in order to usher in Single Payer rationed Health Care.
It already happened to me. Spent a while unemployed because of this and now I am working part time, but I cannot rest easy, I still have to look for another job. The best thing will be to start a business and essentially move my behind to another country to do it. ... Sad but true.
It began in many small businesses in 2010. Convenience stores, fast food joints, mom and pop operations, all started cutting everyone to 28 hours per week to get out of the Obummercare mess. The company that owns little c-store I worked in for a while has no full time employees except store managers, who are salaried and under a different contract.
Yeah, tell me about it...36 hours a week is the new 40, thanx to N0bamacare.
Actually, the new normal for many low skill workers is 28 hours per week. Part time employees do not have to be offered health insurance and that is the only way many small businesses could get out of the ACA bullshit.
I have lots of skills, education and experience and still managed to get PT work. Not all who find PT work are low skill workers. Low skill workers are the most unemployed or working at those fast food restaurant (etc) type jobs. Employers (even government jobs) are looking for highly skilled, educated and experienced workers for PT and little to no benefits with low pay to a bit over minimum wage, to work what is essentially a full time position. Obama et al have created a pro-business anti-worker environment that weirdly enough is ALSO (small to medium) anti-business in nature. Private and government grants for legitimate education, training, work or charities are depleted, whereas the most grants are going towards green energy and helping displaced workers (illegals/refugees/foreign workers).
Exactly! And, don't think that buying your own insurance will make things any easier!
You have to tell them what you made the year before.
If you happen to make a little more this year, they will demand the subsidy money back.
Then, you will only get the subsidy money you were entitled to the most recent year, even if you got a job making less.
When it's time to renew, you will get an email telling you to reply, telling them to renew as last year, or make changes.
If you want to renew as before, your email will be lost in a SNAFU, and you won't be renewed, and you will have to reapply.
All the arguing you do will get you a number to call and explain how your email got lost, and even if you prove it, you can't pay your bill to the agent, but to the main insurance co, which will have you on hold, waiting for an agent, for over an hour.
My wife went through all this with Blue Cross.

Even the original Obamacare(passed in 2009) delayed implementation of all of the mandates to beyond the 2010 and 2012 elections...despite the fact that we were supposedly facing a "crisis" in health care coverage. Thus it was apparent that the authors of this monstrosity were well aware of what they had created.
