It's not only that we're not better off than 2009 but that the trend is flat to down. If the trend were even slightly up, you could make the case that the corner had been turned. That's why the enemy-of-the-people-media was trying so hard to make it sound like things were getting even SLIGHTLY better. But the fact is, after scraping along the bottom for 3 years like a crippled submarine, it looks like we are about to turn down again. And that's the REALLY bad news.
There isn't a happy ending here is there? At least, not until we get rid of the current wrecking crew.
