Obama’s Legacy at Risk After Winning Health-Care Fight: Forget Barry’s legacy. We’re more worried for the one belonging to all those that sacrificed so much to end slavery in this country. Because the individual mandate pretty much brings that awful institution back.

  • I don't believe 0bama will ever change. His formative years were ingrained in countries other than America. He hates what America has stood for and wants that changed. He makes that very clear. When he speaks off the prompter, the real 0bama comes out....he detests America. I detest what he has done to our country.

  • A few thoughts...

    1. We no longer live in a constitutional republic. We now live in a democracy like the left wants, in other words...mob rules.

    2. If Obama is wins another 4 years or Romney cannot overturn the Obamacare monstrosity, we will start hearing louder & more serious calls for secession. Laugh if you want, but our nation was born out of a fight over "taxation without represention" to the British. Obamacare appears to be taxation by misrepresentation, at least after John Roberts casted his vote & offered his opinion.

    3. Too many people are hell bent to never bow to the dystopian dreams of the progressives & international leftists. all to be done in the name of the common good & fairness. There will be push back, & the harder the gov't pushes, the worse the reaction will be from those who hate what is happening to the USA.

    • Some people believe that is what the left wants for people to get out of control. I don't know what is going to happen but I hope that Obama does not win. Everything pretty much hinges on one of two things: Obama does not win or Obama truly finds Jesus and changes everything about himself.

      • KQ, I agree with your post but let me remind you & anyone else who reads this of something Obama said. Obama said that it was through Trinity United & Rev.Wright that he found Jesus. If that is true, we are in real trouble.

        • True. To me is just like a Mohammed finding G-d in a cave through the teaching of an angel. Momo can say all day long that he found G-d but no one with sense will agree with that. He may have found some god but not the G-d as far as I am concerned.

          And... centuries later we are still in trouble due to this "encounter".

          Don't know what he found in that church but I seriously doubt it was the Jesus that I serve.

    • Christie in essence did. He did not waste money fighting this manure and he in essence ignore the heck out of it so now all he has to do is continue to do what he did.

  • Just like the old adage of seeing something half empty instead of half full, many are viewing the Supreme Court's decision on Obamacare as a purely negative outcome. Sure, I would have liked the court to rule constitutionally and in a responsible fashion. Sure, I would have preferred the court use the law to base their decision instead of failed socialist ideologies. It would have also been nice to see the court use their power for the good of the nation instead of heading it towards a path of bankruptcy and despair.
    However, in the Supreme Court's infinite wisdom they voted to uphold the Marxists principles which Obama holds so dearly. Though many despair because of this mindless decision, I see a positive side that far outweighs the negative which seem to hang so heavily over America's future.
    Why? The answer is simple and can be summed up in one word: Complacency. It might seem over simplistic but it actually makes sense when you think about. First, you have to ask yourselves what got General Secretary Obama elected? It was the opposite of complacency: Motivation.
    What the Democrats did in the last presidential election was motivate their base to go out and vote in droves. They got them to the polls. Through rhetoric such as hope and change they made everyone out in American feel as if they alone could make a difference just by voting for Obama. They made it feel that a vote for Obama would change the country for the better; a vote for Obama would make your life better; a vote for Obama would turn America into a true utopia. Though Obama and his failed policies could do none of this, people felt as if he do all of this and more. They were thus motivated to go out and vote.
    However, times have changed. Obama is in power and his greatest assault against American freedom and Capitalism, Obamacare, was upheld. Now I ask: where's the motivation to Obama's supports? They already have what they want. If, however, Obamacare was repealed, there would have been a battle cry sent out by Obama and his Himmler-esk cronies. They would have berated the Republicans, chastised the courts and made it a point that if Obama were voted out of power this November, things would go back to the way things were during former President Bush's times. Obama would have sent the fear of God into people and made them think if Romney got into office, a Republican-driven Supreme Court would repeal civil rights, women's suffrage and all welfare-type programs. They would have painted a picture of the future filled with despair, filled with greedy capitalistic clones of Romney economically squashing the other 99% of society.
    Instead of chanting, "Remember the Maine, down with Spain", they would be shouting, "Remember Obamacares, throw Romney down the stairs!" (Maybe not exactly, but I just wanted it to rhyme). It would have again provoked the masses to go and cast a vote towards economic insolvency- I mean for Obama.
    Now you have to ask: who is motivated now? I can tell you. All the Republicans, members of the Tea party, the working class, people who actually pay taxes and everyone who owns any size business across the country. Now, we have the motivation. We have the battle cry. We have more a reason now to vote Obama out of office than before!
    In fact, I'd like to thank the Supreme Court for their ruling. For at this moment the tide has turned against Obama and the path to his exit from the White House has become visible. Thank you for your nearsightedness. Thank you for your demagoguery. Thank you for total disregard to the Constitution. For it is through this act of total ignorance that we Americans will take back the White House and elect a real American into office!

    • Yes I agree. This needs to be a rallying cry for action. The LAST thing we need is make Obama into a martyr.

  • I was just on Mittens website seeing where he stands on some issues when I read this: "As president, Mitt will nominate judges in the mold of Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Scalia, Thomas, and Alito. These justices hold dear what the great Chief Justice John Marshall called “the basis on which the whole American fabric has been erected”: a written Constitution, with real and determinate meaning."

    I think he might want to change that.

    And not to be picky, but Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. are not states.

      • I have never volunteered for a national campaign, nor have I donated much to one, that just changed for me too....I have been busy trying to locate Romney's California folks to volunteer, if nothing else to work the phones, plus I intend to donate as much as I can afford, Kalifornia may be a liberal state, but I will not go down without a fight. I will not surrender to these peckerhead liberals at any point.

          I just heard the political weather forecast: for the Obama admin and campaign, mostly sunny today with highs in the 80s. Lows tonight in Conservative circles around freezing. Tomorrow, for the Obama administration and campaign, blustery with a 100% chance of rain; northwest winds at 35-40 mph with gusts to 50 mph; polling around 50% approval heading into the Fourth of July, with a 10-day forecast for a sharp drop into the lower 40s.

          • I had to give myself all day to think about this before I said anything. The rain has finally gone away here, so I went outside and did some very much needed yard work/garden tending, just to be productive and still give myself time to really turn it over in my mind.

            I am gobsmacked by the idea of a tax on something I *haven't* bought/done as opposed to the other way around, just as Karmaa describes, because I do not trust our politicians to not seriously abuse that idea, but I am hoping against hope that y'all's assessment is correct here.

        • Yes! SK... I agree. I think Roberts played the game right. Things will only get worst because this law sucks all Romney has to do is pinpoint how a new tax on tax refunds is disgusting all he has to do is point that the economy will go further into hell because of this tax. This is a win, Conservatives need to play it right and I think that Roberts is going to have a legacy here that is positive. We need to wait and see but we need to truly look at what Roberts did and not necessarily at what he did not do or what we expected him to do.
