Obama’s Speech Won’t Change His Polls. To use Obabbler’s favorite analogy, the engine is revving at full speed but the car is plodding along at 3 mph due to the ten ton dumpster filled with crap named “Obamacare” it’s dragging behind it. Instead of cutting the tow rope, Obama proposes to spend a trillion dollars on a “fuel booster” brewed by a magic unicorn in order to add more pep. With Obama driving, this heap will be lucky to make it to the nearest ditch.

I guess those 2 months were the time period that we were promised unemployment wouldn't get above 8% if stimulus was passed.
I don't think the content matters one bit. He will trot out an expensive Keynesian solution and blather on about infrastructure and balanced approaches. Then he will send a massive spending bill to Congress where it will die. He will of course then spend the election cycle saying that he tried to get the economy "on the right track" but those mean GOP types would not give him the money to do it. Meanwhile, he will have the EPA and other agencies club the private sector to death with red tape, over-regulation, high taxes, and the specter of Obamacare.
His speech will improve the ratings for the Packers-Saints season opener. Outside of a few political wonks, & Wall St, nobody gives a damn about what he says. Obama is becoming irrelevant, & his representing crap that did'nt work before, & won't work in the future, will only make him more irrelevant.

According to Drudge, his numbers keep dropping. Now I expect him to pull some crappy stunts right before the election, (stopping deportations, for example -- oh he did that last week...) We cannot be rid of him fast enough.
