It's been between $2.04 and $2.20 in Florida.
If it was that plentiful, the price would be lower.
According to my petroleum guy at the local farmers coop, it is that plentiful, it's just that the oil companies are raising the prices and keeping them high. About twenty years ago, we had a similar situation with hogs. There was a glut on the market and we producers were receiving $.09- $.18 per pound. At the same time I talked to a guy in Minneapolis who informed me that as a pork producer, I must be making a killing because when he bought pork chops in the previous week, they had gone up by $1.00/lb. While we were being driven out of business, the Big Four Packers were bragging about record profits. They actually raised wholesale prices while offering us producers less and less. Not different than the oil companies, now.
