Once again Obama administration says Don’t cross this line!

• My biggest fear is they'll do something really stupid this time. Not for security reasons but to prove he's not a Massengil, and against the freaking Russians at that.

  • Based on Andre's well-thought out posts, we shouldn't be doing anything aggressive. This is a local issue and one whose roots go along way down into history. Over a 1000 years ago Kievian Rus was the earliest country in what is now Russia/Ukraine.

    I hate seeing a country get swallowed up by an aggressor but I'd hate more for us to get into something we can neither afford nor win. NATO won't do a thing and the EU damn sure won't. Neither should we. Not this time.

    • I liked Andre's posts also. He had a lot of insights that I had never heard of before. It's always good to listen to someone with roots to a region, they know stuff the history books don't have in them.

    • We already dabbled in it with the "protests" that led to the ouster of the Pres. That was whaterface's "f#*k the EU"* baby, the kids in charge playing at regime change and "picking" the next Pres. And now faced with real world consequences.

      And Andre's posts were outstanding, just ran out of time to come back for a h/t, so... Thanks Andre, those were great. Actually I marked em because they're an excellent reference when doing SleepDemons research on my own; they point exactly where to start looking thereby avoiding all the time wasting bs before getting to the answers.

      *that whole thing interests me too, on a bunch of levels. Somebody tapping that call and flipping DC the bird saying "see, we listen too a$$holes" and then leaking it ala Washington games. Just for starters.
