One-Trick Pony. “All 134 times Harry Reid has mentioned the Koch Brothers on the Senate Floor.” Not a pony, just the rear half of one.

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • It is beyond unseemly for any member of Congress to use their official position to demagogue a private citizen who has done nothing illegal. It borders on tyranny. Where is the senate ethics committee to discipline a man who denigrates a taxpayer but has no problem living off of and spending that taxpayer's earnings. Harry Reid has clearly forgotten who he works for and needs to be reminded.

    • Needs to be reminded? No- I strongly disagree. By his words and actions he has shown that no amount of reminding is going to make any substantive difference- beyond symbolic gestures designed to throw dogs off the trail. he needs to be made an example of- along with Obama, Pelosi, Holder, every prog who endorsed this mess, and a host of RINOs like Boehner.

      The time for gentle reminders is long past... those needing reminding will be those who would take up seats vacated when their incumbents face the host of charges they have worked so very hard to earn. The likes of Reid. Pelosi, et al have been engaging in a calculated campsign of subversion reflecting knowledge in exactly what they were doing and who was getting screwed. A la Pelosi on Obamacare, they need to be sentenced so that they can find out what they've been charged with.

    • You've hit the nail on the head Racer X. The party has done this before with their war on wealthy Americans support of occupy wall street. Now Reid has stepped way over the line in singling out individuals, by name, that do not hold political office.
      Now if dirty harry were to up and disappear.... well maybe he was on to something. Until then we need to look and find where it is that these evil capitalists have pissed in reid's cereal. Follow the money, harry's money, to find the real issue.

    • Actually, Harry reminds us daily that he's working for himself, Obama, and the DNC Committee to Bring Socialism to the USA.
      I sometimes wonder if Obama isn't really the illegitimate love child of Harry Reid and Maxine Waters, or Charles Rangel and Nancy Pelosi.

  • Funny thing is, I never heard of the Koch brothers until the demachine decided to put them on display as evil manipulators. I guess I'll need to do a google search and read up on these fellas to form my own opinion. I'm betting the majority of the voting public won't bother doing the research and take harry reid at his word.

  • The absence of backlash from the Koch brothers makes me wonder if they've willingly lent themselves to the demagogues for the purpose of taking repeated symbolic floggings... to placate us sheep into assuming that the collective federal thuggery actually gives a flying carnal act about our well being.
