I will say this in defense of OWS, the were corrupted just like the Tea Party. Guess what? The core of both groups know each other and are on the same page with some exceptions. Not good for the globalists, but good for the people. Unions and Corps (because we have a systematically inherently fascist govt) hate people like me. Karl Marx is no Thomas Jefferson. Kinda cynical, don't ya think? I don't think the Tea Partiers have been corrupted, however, I know the OWS groups have been non-legit from the get go. OWS is proof we should have nuked Woodstock. The Occupy movement can trace their roots back to the Woodstock era hippies, & they have damaged our nation almost beyond repair. OWS better keep in mind, this nation is armed, they know how to use their LEGAL firearms. Many of those folks, are Tea Party folks or people who support the Tea Party. Bloodshed will happen, some OWS punk will make a move to threaten the wrong person, at the wrong time, & someone will take aim & fire. It's only a matter of time.
Actually the Woodstock hippies were not part (in general) of the aggressive protest movement. They were too stoned to care.
Woodstock 99 showed the changes 30 years had wrought. Riots. Fires. Rapes. Beatings. Much more trouble. Now today, whoa! It would be horrific.
I think that perhaps one of the forerunners to the OWS crowd is SDS as led by Mark Rudd in 1968.
I get that, & there are a few generations seperating Woodstock & Occupy. But what Woodstock started has evolved & that is what Occupy is. What we have seen in between in our educational system, our entertainment culture, & the assult on our freedoms through the use of political correctness. Also, lets give trophies to everyone because you are all winners. All of these things have gotten us to this point.

For those that are able to see the heart of man , when I visualize this godless hoard of largly worthless protesters , I see the Orcs trying to storm Helm's Deep in Tolkein's book " The two Towers " . Pounding their swords , just to make noise , drool going everywhere , making as little sense as the person standing next to him , simply doing the will of the being that feeds them.
