Pacquiao vs Mayweather

Pacquiao vs Mayweather—it’s on! Potentially the greatest boxing match of all time will happen May 2. And then boxing will continue to die and be replaced by MMA.

  • I would rather see a fight between Bruce Jenner and one of the ISIS dudes, or How about Rosie O Donnell and some crazy Islamic Guy....At least it wouldn't be a fight between two senior citizens (in Boxing years)

  • This is going to be a good fight. What is wrong with boxing are the shady individuals who have run it for years. Bob Arum and Don King have made fortunes off the backs of boxers. All the time controlling the outcome if at all possible. MMA is well on its way to replacing boxing.

As for the 15 rounds, they were illuminated when Ray Boom Boom Mancini killed Duk Koo Kim in the ring.

  • WOW didn't realize the "lie" in the "Tale of the Tape".

Pacquiao is 37 yrs old not 30 and Mayweather will be 39 on the 24th.

  • Do they even make a mouth piece for dentures...? This fight should have happened 10 years ago.

Boxing died with the 15 rounder.

  • This fight is a prime reason that boxing is all but dead. This fight should have happened years ago, & it is only happening now. Fight fans want to see big time fights, & they don't get them in boxing anymore. Mixed Martial Arts has seen a massive explosion of popularity, both here & abroad. The fights that MMA fans want to see, happen, & it doesn't take years to work out.

    Boxing is dead, & I for 1, don't care.

  • And then boxing will continue to die and be replaced by MMA.

Ha, perfect. These guys are both amazing. But Pacquiao; watching him fight must be what it was like to watch Michelangelo sculpt.

    • I'll be rooting for Pacquiao even though Mayweather is originally from Grand Rapids. Hey, he lists Las Vegas as his hometown so why should I be loyal to Mayweather? And let's face it, judging them as human beings, Pacquiao is a great one whereas Mayweather is pretty much an ass. My only fear regarding Pacquiao is that he's so generous he will end up broke someday.
