“Patriotic millionaires” demand higher taxes, but unwilling to pay up. Why higher taxes? Theory: to guarantee a continued flow of gubbermint moola to their businesses and investments. They kick in a hundred thou in higher taxes in return for billions in gubbermint contracts. Voluntary contributions are NFG to them as only a few will kick in, not enough to keep the gubbermint spigot open full bore.

On that note, about 2 years ago I was in a bar (yes, I know, hard to believe) and nature called. Affixed in the urinal was a waterproof picture of Nancy Pelosi. I truly enjoyed the experience, and immediately went back to drink a lot more beer. (Got a ride home)

Classic left wing grandstanding BS. I'm running the Christmas charity fund for my company work group. I've had tax discussions with three of my left leaning co-workers. They say rich people need to pay higher taxes because we need to help poor people. Guess which three guys don't want to throw in a few bucks to help the poor people?
