• Before you respond please read my entire post.

  As with most you this story scared me, as any law
  that would protect pedophiles should scare all of us.

  So I read the law which is available on California's state
  government website. Its not that long, and nowhere in it does it
  even mention "pedophilia" or any changes to criminal law for that matter.
  The bill doesn't do anything more then alter the requirements for how a state licensed therapist treats children.

  It simply states that "mental healthcare providers" cannot
  engage in "orientation change therapy" while counseling children.

  The bill defines mental healthcare providers as any and all "state licensed" psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, or therapists.

  The bill defines SEXUAL ORIENTATION as lesbian, gay, or bisexual.

  MOST IMPORTANTLY! The bill states that the newly banned "orientation change therapy" does not include therapy that helps a child cope with their sexuality, sexual confusion, or others perceptions, and it does NOT ban therapy related to UNHEALTHY or ILLEGAL sexual conduct.

  “This language is so broad and vague, it arguably could include all forms of sexual orientation, including pedophilia,” said Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute. “It’s not just the orientation that is protected—the conduct associated with the orientation is protected as well.”

• Liberals talk about the sacrosanct doctor/patient relationship in regard to abortion. But now, if a mental health therapist in California thinks early issues of poor bonding, abandonment, or abuse might have something to do with same-sex attraction, totalitarian psychology comes in and says "No! you can't talk about that!" What hypocrisy! Thorough relativists without lasting values, liberals just say whatever they think will win the current argument.

  There is an attempt underway to pass a similar bill in New Jersey. Christie said he thinks sexual orientation is present at birth. There is no proof of this. What malpractice if people who don't want the same-sex attraction or at least don't want to act on it, are forced into it because of politically correct tyranny.

  • ost homosexulas claim that it is not a choice, that they were born that way. So while poor bonding, abandonment or abuse may cause OTHER isues, according to them, it shouldn't have any effect on sexual orientation. Can't have it both ways, guys and gals!

  • And seriouly as mean as this sounds, that IS the only cure. Pedophiles have the highest recidivism rate of any offenders. No amunt of punishment, fineing, jailtime, etc will stop them. OTher than a tiny segment of pedophiles, they all reoffend.

• OK, So it is ok to give under age kids the Big one and Play hide the Sausage, against their will because the DEMs say its ok. But to owend a Gun is NO NO NO! Were is the line in their thinking. • Okay... in a way it is, but not in order to EXCUSE IT or to make it "normal" as the second part of pedophilia involves children who are not able to understand nor enter into a sexual relationship with a complete understanding of what it means to them and their lives. I say in a way it is because it is not fair to say that pedophiles are gay or whatever since that is not the case since gay people tend to gravitate towards adults of the same gender even if they choose barely adults (but a lot of heterosexual males and some women do that).

  • no it isn't, pedophilia is a metal disorder, these people are sick and they cannot be cured. If it gets classified as a sexual orientation, then they get legal protection from discrimination, and that can guarantee them access to children. Cuz we would not be able to refuse them jobs as school bus drivers or teachers or daycare workers, etc.

    • Everyone keep in mind that in the 60's and before homosexuality was considered a mental disorder according the the Psychiatric diagnostic manual ( the DSM.) I was just discussing this the other day. If homosexuality, which used to be considered a mental disorder and is now being called an altermate lifestyle, how long before pedophilia is claiming the same thing? Every arguement that homosexuals have for their lifestyle can also be claimed by pedophiles ( they can't help it, they were born that way, its no one's business who I sleep with, I deserve equal rights to marraige, adoption, benefits for my partner, etc. A veru slippery slope indeed.

      • Exactly. The fact that NAMBLA is trying to say that children can be sexually intelligent in order to make those arguments. The fact that there are more and more children having children and getting their menstruation (girls) and maturing overall earlier on is also a problem. At some point when the economy is really bad there will be parents who will sell their children to pedophiles. Children will be kidnapped left and right. If a child is kidnapped just right before or right after the age of consent (which is getting lowered and lowered across the country) it will prove to be a legal quagmire. I agree this is not good, this is actually a terrible thing.

        • There are already parents who sell their children. And sadly many more who give them to pedophiles for a career or drug or to pay off a Bill or to keep the guy ho pays the bills at home.

    • Well that is why I said that it cannot be classified so in order to excuse the behavior or for it to become acceptable which is what will happen. However I do want to make a distinction between gays who are gay yes but they want adult partners and those who are persecuting children. Now with that said people with mental disorders can also be placed in the protection category. So that also puts things in a difficult perspective. I think that pedophiles should just be classified as criminals, therefore no protections and put them in prisons not bother with rehabilitation in hospitals or half way homes. Or better yet the death penalty.

      • Mental disorders with crimal intent often get institutionalized for their own protection as well as to prtect the public. And I agree, that is where pedo's should be.

Millions about millions of children are victims of pedophilia and that means millions upon millions of adults that are scarred for life because of this.         • Where I worked we had detectives that specialized in sex offenders, mostly pedophiles. Just out driving around one day and next to a park is a motor home, Old guy sitting there, nothing really stood out but I went by and said hi. he seemed okay, went back and ran hos vehicle plate, found out he was a registered sex offender, just paroled from prison and one of the conditions of his release was to stay away from parks, schools, etc. Went back and had a talk, now he plays the race card (he was black) and said I just hated black people who had motor homes...never heard that one before. Advised him to move on, his response? "Fuck you pig"...So I got one of the detectives, we arrested him, violated his parole, impounded the motor home and sent his dog (puppy of course to attract kids) to the animal shelter. He went back to prison for five years. (The rest of his sentence)

          The problem is how do you know what a pedophile looks like? I only stopped because we had an ordinance about camping overnight at city parks with an RV, I stopped just to advise him, but the little hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Cop intuition I guess. These guys run and hide and they are not always easy to find, if they change the law in Kalifornia, kids everywhere need to watch out.

          Evil smells and feels bad to a person that has through actions and words chosen to fight against it. It is an un-explainable feeling that yes it could be intuition mixed with a spirit that loathes evil and sniffs it out. Some people are just more attuned than others. That is why a lot of people are saved from near misses or they find an evil person on their way to evil under normal circumstances like you did.

  • Actually, I think I heard from a University of Kalifornia study of some sort a couple of years ago that the vast majority of pedophilia is actually predatory and assaultive homosexual behavior perpetrated by adult homosexuals against young boys, hence NAMBLA. The assaultive heterosexual behavior is actually the much smaller percentage of that study. I wish I could remember when or where I got that information. It literally blew my ming when I saw the study...I think it may have had something to do with catholic priest scandals of the late nineties...I'm just not sure.

      3 to 4.5 boys are victimized per homosexual male.

      1 girl is victimized per 11 heterosexual males.

      The numbers are frightening. But we're told to ignore them and believe (just believe and it will become reality, damn it!) that homosexuals are not dangerous to children.

      As far as the "priest scandals" (a phrase which irritates me, because there's far more pedophilia in the entertainment industry than in the Catholic Church, but we don't ever get to talk about that) the numbers were, again, frightening. 81% of the assaults were homosexual in nature. That's 2% of the men inflicting 81% of the assaults. Spooky.

      Pedophilia is a part of gay culture. Go to youtube and check out a documentary called "Chicken Hawks." It will scare you forever. Also check out ANYTHING with Judith Reisman in it.

      • In the case of the church, I feel it is likely the stats are skewed. Not that I support those who abuse children, but as it currently stands, the Catholic church in particular is an excellent cover for pediophiles. Out in the world, if a man is 30, 40, years old and neve married, and hangs with kids a lot, parents become suspicious. But a "celibate" priest who is not ALLOWED to marry, and hangs with kids looks not only ok, but even applauded for all the good work Father does with the kids, especially the boys from single parent families (almost always the parent is female, and the priest is viewed as being a perfect male role model for the son.)

        • I tend to agree with you here sa_rose, but I believe the sexual predation problem in the catholic church is less a problem of pedophilia and more a problem of predatory homosexuality. The Church is not and never has been a dictatorship, despite what many may think, because if it were, there'd be way fewer sissy priests and way fewer incidents of predatory sexual misbehavior.

        • I tend to agree. All pedophiles have. A specific target age sex etc. Being a priest would give them virtually unlimited access t o a series of boys at the age range they prefer. And when e n many of these crimes were committed only boys were altar boys. There were no female servers. A perfect hunting ground. And the perfect cover. Everyone trusts a priest and ate thankful for the role models they provided to boys. Ever seen going my way or bells of st Mary's?

        • Ann Coulter spoke about this and she got shot down. It seems that she may have read something or there were something that she used to based her point but she didn't bring it up. She basically said that in the CC case specifically it was homosexuals seeking to have homosexual sex with boys. Overall the cases of pedophilia on girls seem to be small in comparison correct? So it seems that there is a case to be made here on that.
