The simple solution would be to pass a law stating that no sitting Congressman or Senator is allowed to trade in the stock market. The temptation is just too great and you can bet the people named by 60 Minutes are not the only ones guilty of insider trading.
Common sense measures will never work though. When the noose is around the neck it would be impossible to get the thieves to trip the trapdoor themselves.

I didn't read the article, but their headline reads; " How Visa courted Nancy Pelosi when she was House Speaker." Not a bad for headline for typically left leaning Yahoo. Ok, 'Wowzers' was a bit much....
