Pennsylvania newspaper retracts 150-year-old editorial. Who said newspapers were slow to admit they’re wrong? Whoever it was, they might have a case:

“We write today in reconsideration of “The Gettysburg Address…” Our predecessors, perhaps under the influence of partisanship, or of strong drink, as was common in the profession at the time, called President Lincoln’s words “silly remarks…” In the fullness of time, we have come to a different conclusion.”

  • "or of strong drink, as was common in the profession at the time"
lmao, so what's their excuse at this time; weed, crack?

  • Nothing like looking back to print a retraction and waiting for the rest of the country to agree that Lincoln's Gettysburg Address was one of the most brilliant ones ever given.

At least you finally did it. To bad you won't do one for backing the current occupant of the WH and all his misdeeds

  • ” In the fullness of time, we have come to a different conclusion.”

And it only took a liberal newspaper editorial staff 150 years to figure this out.
No wonder I only buy a newspaper when I need some place to put the basket from my deep fryer.
