Pentagon Bans Domestic Travel for Troops, Families As Coronavirus Spreads

• Drove up to the Turtle Creek casino in Traverse City Thursday, spent the night, came back Friday. Place was eerily quiet. Not completely empty but not as busy as it should be on a Thursday night. Cashiers, bartenders, etc., all had plastic gloves on. Dealers did not: apparently it's too difficult to handle the cards. Hand sanitizer was stationed all over the casino. The employees are all worried about their jobs. They said the tribal council is having multiple meetings every day trying to keep up with the latest information. I have an idea that once the first casino in the nation closes, the rest are going to follow suit immediately, like dominoes falling.

  • The Bay Bridge yesterday morning had fewer cars than back in 2007-2008 when the financial crisis hit. My wife went to SF to see a play, found a parking spot right across the street, then when she got to the theater it was shut down.

    They're going crazy at the grocery stores. My wife just went to Safeway (9:30 AM) and it was slammed.

    The usual no toilet paper or Purel.

    People are fucking nuts.
